Front desk people

When I went to WDW for the first 'real' time, meaning going with my whole family I had went over to the front desk of where we were staying. I had asked a very hopeful question..."Do you know if there are any places where you can meet Imagineers?" the person seemed to not really know what Imagineers were after a little while she said something about a place in the Disney/MGM studios called Behind the Seeds which I never found...are all hotel people at the front desk like this?

PS I had been to Disney one other time with my little brother and dad because my dad's friend had invited us

well.. you did ask a question that is seldom asked (probably the first time they heard it).

Unlike what you may think, imagineers are not there for the guests to talk to. They are backstage, designing new attractions, improving current ones, and don't need to be bothered with a guest. That's what park CM's are for.

However, for your reference... click here: http://allearsnet.com/din/dine_imag.htm

Yeah I had figured that out afterwards and that program was launched after I had left (I went this past August) when I had read about that imagineer thing I was really wanted to do it. Are you like able to ask anything or like some people that are on the board who have thought up rides share them with the imagineer or are there somethings you can't do?

I think anyone can do it, at least kids of the age of 3. They do have child's prices for the meals.

I just don't see what you'd have someone that young go to that type of meal for that type of money.

We try to have knowledgable CMs, but we do have 55,000 CMs and that doesn't even account for the fact that not everyone we hire sticks with the job. Sometimes when you run into a CM who doesn't know they should either call 0 to try and find out who would know, or if they don't even know to do that then go to another CM.
