I've seen them in stores for between $60 and $70, especially at back-to-school times... just a thought.

~~96 days!!

Dwarful said:We have used the free fridge for medicine for our youngest. Kept some milk and juice in it as well..but if we'd have paid for it, wouldn't have been worth it for us. We use the refill mugs as well. We have also passed along strollers. But again, if you are going to do a lot of going back to the room for drinks/meals etc. Then maybe you'd want to buy the fridge. Someone else pointed out that a 28 bottles of water family of 4 would be 7 drinks per person...or one drink per day. Now if you will REALLY use that fridge...milk, lunchmeat, soda etc. then buy it and try to hook up with someone who is checking in when you are checking out. If you buy one for $60, use it for 11 days then pass it on for $30 or give it away your still money ahead vs renting one for $110 for the 11 days.
Dwarful said:Oops, sorry shoppingnut, I think I didn't make myself clear. I'd vote against renting a fridge, because unless you really will be going back to the room a lot then you won't get the use of it vs. the cost of it being $110. And if you are going back to the room then get the resort mug and just use it. How many sandwiches will you really eat and haul into the parks? Sounds good now but in Florida heat...uh no thanks. I'll spend the money on vacation to buy a sandwich. The thing with passing it on, is if you rent you'd pay $110. If you go buy one for $60-$70 then you've saved $40 -50 right off the top. Then you just find someone else who wants it or leave it behind you're still money ahead. We did this with beach towels (and a new umbrella stroller once). We went to Cocoa for a day and bought some cheap florida beach towels. When we left we left them in the room. The mousekeeper came running after us to tell us we left them behind, I said we didn't have room in the suitcases so we were just leaving them. She asked if she could have them and I said sure.
Personally we are in the parks all day. We eat in the parks and get drinks when needed. I plan for that expense. I might pack a picnic for a day at Six Flags, but the food at WDW is cheaper than at our Six Flags or our zoo.
