As DVC owner, soon to be staying for the first time at the Boardwalk Villas, do I recall reading that we can have free wifi service?

I do not believe that it is wifi but you will have a free hard line connection in your room.

Richard, you are correct, it is an ethernet cable you can hook up to. The cable is like 10 or 12 ft. long so you can sit on the couch and web surf.
There is an internet help dept. that will get you hooked up, we got some kind of password to get the dvc perk. Have a great trip!

I didn't get a password, they said I just had to check the box to agree to pay for the service, but that I wouldn't actually be charged for it. And I wasn't charged, so it was all good. The actual hook up seemed very slow though.

Hi...we are new DVC members, coming to the parks for the first time as members this trip. We are staying at three different resorts for our stay. AKL VIllas, Pop Century, and Fort Wilderness Cabins. My question is, do we get free internet at all of the resorts, as DVC members, or just the DVC resorts. We are actually using points to stay at the cabins, so in a way they are kinda DVC, though I know technically not. Thanks in advance.

Just at the dvc location you are staying at on points. So, in your case only at the AKL villas.
