You might even be able to go to disney right now and someone has a laptop going with the infection that displays those fake access points. Happens all the time at airports. Its quite surprising how many of these are going around. They do not piggyback onto the Wifi's network, they are infact their own access point. The are usually very obvious to tell apart as they say something silly like "FREE INTERNET CLICK HERE!!*!**!"

I wanted to point out the great post about Free Public WiFi which is what you're referencing.

Also, the stuff about computer to computer virus transmission is silly. Even cheapo linksys routers have a feature which puts every wireless user on a separate VLAN where they can't communicate (i.e. spread viruses) with each other. Are you telling me Disney can't do something similar?

It would be nice if they offered free internet access of any type. We stayed at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim and full internet access, although not wireless, was free.
