Free Parking??

A lot of people on here have been talking about taking their own cars to the parks. Do you have to pay $12 everytime you park or is it free because you are staying on property? Just wondering. :shrug:

Those staying on property get to park for free.

Those who aren't staying on property only need to pay $12 once per day, their parking receipt will allow them to move to another lot without paying again.

Do you just present a room key I guess? I have been to WDW 16 times and never knew that. :hammer: I guess you learn something new everyday. THANKS!! :wave:

Has anyone ever just parked at Downtown Disney and just used the buses there so you don't have to pay for parking? We've never done it before but are thinking of doing it on our upcoming trip. Since you can park there for free and go to any resort to get to any park, that would save a ton on parking!:sohappy:

There is no direct transportation to or from any of the parks to DTD. You would have to go to a resort and from there take another but to the parks. Under the best of circumstances that would take a good hour and a half. The buses also do not start running at DTD until after the parks have opened.
