You can use the historical discounts page on Mousesavers to track when it was announced each year and the dates/terms of the offers. Of course, there's a lot of buzz floating around as to this year being an "IF" vs. a "WHEN"...but time will tell.

Last year, free dining was announced for the general public on Monday, April 27th. Hope it will be around the same time this year!

If I book a Disney hotel and then they announce free dining, is it possible to get it added on or am I out of luck?

Yes you can, you just have to call up and have them adjust it.

It's not guaranteed though. Only if your hotel and room type are offering free dining because not all do....there are exclusions. And even if your hotel and room type are included in the promo, there has to still be rooms for your hotel available for the offer to have it applied to your existing reservation. Also last year, you had to have park tickets too with some other qualifiers.

@danlb_2000, I think so. One time they were offering gift cards for select hotels. I saw the ad after I had already booked and had no problems getting the gift cards. (We had 2 rooms at Pop Century and got 2 $300 gift cards!) Also, a coworker did the same thing. He had already booked his trip and I told him about the special. Sure enough... only he was staying at Poly and got a $600 gift card.
Been buzzing that way for a few years, time will tell...

I have called and had it added to my reservation the last four years with no issues at all.
