Hi guys,

I will stay at disney's all star sport in May of this year and I already buy the hotel (not in Disney site) and (separately) the tickets for 5 days.

I want know if when Disney annouces the Disney Dinning Free can I call for them and ask to be inclueded on this to have my Quick Services dinning plan free.

I know that Disney always announce this on May so I wanna know if someone someday managed to do this.

Thanksss

Yes they do announce free dining in May, but it is for dates only! Usually September - December with a couple of black out weeks throughout. They do not offer fre dining in May for a very long time! They usually always do room discounts in the spring, which I believe is still currently going on for a little bit longer but is ending rather soon...chances are though, that whatever 3rd party website you booked through, probably already has that spring offer discounted on the price you paid for...

I'm going at the end of May. Am I hearing this correctly that I could get free dining?

No. They do not offer free dining in May. Thy used to years ago a couple of times, but now free dining is usually during sept-dec. they just announce that the free dining package is available in Msy.

So if you have a vacation package for May you can get free dining? I'm sorry it's just unclear to me.

No, May is not included in the check-in time for the free dining offer. May is the time in which Disney usually comes out with the offer for later in the year. BTW, hoping they include the tail end of august like they have a few times in the past:)

You have to make a room reservation and purchase a minimum days worth of tickets (vacation package) to receive free dining during the eligible dates. As you have already purchased theme park tickets, this may not work for you anyways, regardless of the dates.

It is correct that if Disney did release a free Dining promotion for your travel dates, those packages typically require a minimum # of nights stay and ticket days (though usually not the same # of nights as ticket days). So, though you already have tickets, in order to upgrade to that promotion, you would still have to purchase the required minimum # of ticket days - but you could save them for use on another trip.

One concern: you said in your original post: "I already buy the hotel (not in Disney site)" - I'm not sure if you can upgrade to the promotion if you didn't purchase your Disney resort stay through Disney. That would be good to know, because if the reservation had to be made through Disney, then you wouldn't need to worry about watching for a dining promotion.

Also, if your reservation included a discount on the room price, please be aware that Disney only allows one discount per reservation, no "stacking" of discounts. So even if they did offer a dining promotion, and you found that you could add it to a reservation that was not made through Disney, you would have to choose between the two - the room discount, or the dining promotion. (Sorry if that doesn't make much sense - bottom line, Disney only allows 1 discount per reservation.)

I hope you have a wonderful time!

Unfortunately in order to get free dining, you must have a package purchased that includes tickets when they release the discount. Also keep in mind that if you do not book the package through Disney or through a travel agency, you cannot get a discount applied after it is booked. (Expedia, priceline, etc) Disney historically will release the discount in May for dates in September and October. You may however be eligible for a discount on the room if you do not already have on applied. And again, it has to have been booked either through Disney or a travel agency in order to get one applied. And as someone mentioned earlier, Disney does not allow for multiple discounts to be applied to any reservation.
