Free Dining Question

Quick question on free dining.

Do you have to already have a dining plan reserved in order to take advantage of free dining if and when a promotion comes out for your trip dates?

We wanted to just add free dining if it becomes available but we don't want to pay for the dining plan if free dining doesn't come out. We are going the first week of December.

You can add it when/if it becomes available. If you are going to have the anything other than the quick service, you may want to consider going ahead and making reservations, so there is something when you want to go. They can be cancelled if the plan doesn't get offered.

I agree 100%, make your ADR's, when able, and if free dining is offered during your stay, call 407 WDW DINE and ask them to apply it to your reservation. You can also choose at that time (if need be) to upgrade to the deluxe dining plan if that meets the needs of your family.
