I am currently looking into a December trip to the world. Around 12/10/13 - 12/16/13. Does anyone know if free dining has ever been offered around that time?

How do we get pins numbers? Do we sign up for emails or something
No. They are generated randomly by Disney. There are many "myths" out there about how to get them to notice you for a pin code, but they are all rubbish. The pin codes are done randomly.
And they will probably offer the Free DDP through December again this year, but they are looking to get rid of it. More than likely it will lessen the year that Disney feels the economy has recovered enough, and then fully disappear the next year. Who knows, by then they may have some other dining option other than the DDP to put in place right when they stop the free dining promotions.
