Free Dining deadline extension?

Was the deadline for free Magic-Your-Way plus Dining extended, or a second booking period added last year? I seem to remember it vaguely.
I was hoping to get a trip together for September, but started planning a little late. Any rumors of extensions this year?

I haven't heard anything yet, but as I recall, last year they extended the purchase deadline to a later date. I wouldn't be surprised if they did the same this year. I actually booked my package today, but if all else fails you can start the countdown now...20 more days to get free dining.

Congrats! I was about to say, I bet they evaluate how many have signed up first and then choose whether to extend it or not. I am hoping to take advantage of it next year but it really seems like people are catching on!

I just heard back from my travel agent, Magic Your Way + free dining booking deadline has been extended until June 25!!!

Allearsnet.com is reporting the same thing. Good times!

Just to clarify - I am sure they take a look at how many people have signed on before they decide if they will extend the free meal deadline -- but not because it is POPULAR and they want to make sure as many people as can get a free meal plan -- it's the opposite - because they still have a lot of empty rooms. They offer this for the deadest period of the year in order to try to bump up the resort occupancy rate.

no, not really
you're right that the Dining plan is normally about $38 per person per day
but! if you book your trip before June 25th for any dates between August 14 and September 30 (the "off season"), you'll get that dining plan for free

its a HUGE savings, my friends and i are saving 228 bucks each!
