Free Dining Blackout Dates

Based on previous years...If Disney extends the free dining offer (into October, November, & December), what type of black out dates would be likely? I know the weeks of Thanksgiving and Christmas would be blacked out, but what about days around Columbus in October?

We were there on Columbus day in 2010 on free dining - I think we were able to qualify it by arriving on the Thursday before.
