Right click the image and Save Image As... (to your computer... My Documents Perhaps?)

Goto UserCP and Click on Edit Avatar

Click Browse next to Upload from my Computer, and select the Image that you just saved.

Click Save Changes

When you save it, it is saving as "mission_space.jpg" isn't it?

Have you tried changing the .art to .jpg? [mubles under breathe about AOL] I take it you are using AOL's own browser then? (I don't have expereince with that). Try it in Internet Explorer.

i cant change it. its the only one on the drop downbar. and my internet explorer doesnt work.

Right, my final option

Goto Control Panel, then Folder Options, then the View Tab

Make sure "Hide file extensions for known file types" in NOT ticked.

Now go into Windows Explorer, and locate your art file. Rename it to mission_space.jpg, and click yes when it warns you about changing the file extension.

If this doesn't work, then I don't know what else I can do to help you. Sorry

OK then. I guess that AOL is converting all images into its own format, so even if someone else made you a new one, you would still have the problem.

Your only options would be to get someone to E-Mail you the image as an attachement, or download a good web browser like Mozilla Firefox

well i got a different avatar the same way i tried with this one and it work but this didnt work. but the last one was a different kind of file.
