We have recently booked our WDW holiday for 2016 and received free breakfast with our booking. Our TA told us that we don't need to use if for breakfast, but can use it for a later meal. Just wondering if anyone knows wat the equivalent will be in terms of dining credits?

I'm sure it can only be used for breakfast as that's what it is being advertised as? Id be very surprised if you could use it for another quick service meal?apologies if I turn out to be wrong about this but they would have advertised it more as one quick service credit per day rather than free breakfast per day?

I'm curious as to what hotel you're staying in. Haven't heard of Disney offering just free breakfast, usually it's a free dining plan that isn't meal specific.

If it's a Disney hotel, then it might be a quick serve credit that wouldn't be meal specific, but you would really need to provide more info.

If you're not staying at a Disney hotel, then who knows, but it's probably breakfast only.

Maybe that's a UK or travel agent only offering/benefit as I just haven't heard of just a free breakfast offering on its own.

Anyway, it sounds like it's a QS credit and those aren't meal specific, even though advertised as breakfast only, as a QS breakfast is the same as a QS lunch or QS dinner in the system. And I'm wondering if it's something that can only be used in the food court or also in the parks.

I'm sure you can confirm that once you arrive and before you try to use it for something other than breakfast.

It's an offer only available to UK guests. UK free dining offers breakfast for value resorts, quick service (can pay to upgrade to regular plan) for moderate resorts and regular dining plan at deluxe and villa resorts. Plus up to $200 gift card and something like 30% off SSR and OKW.

We've booked Wilderness Lodge with free regular dining plan.

In answer to the OP, I've not done it myself, but I read other reports that the free breakfast offer gets you one counter service credit per night and some people have used it for dinner instead of breakfast.

Well, in that respect, I doubt the system differentiates Counter Service Breakfast from Lunch or Dinner with this offer, just like it doesn't differentiate between adult and child with the Counter Service dining plan.

Thank you everyone. We have never stayed at Disney before so this whole credits for meals is so confusing. Someone had suggested using it for a meal later in the day for better value.

Seems to be every year the offer for us in the UK gets better, whether that's due to demand decreasing from over here or that they know how big the UK market is to them compared to any other country in Europe (probably fourth biggest in the world after USA,Canada and Brazil?). I know for next year,as well as the free dining plans,14 days for price of 7 ultimate tickets and the $200 gift card,we are also getting the free memory maker package too, from what I have been told though, this is due to disneyquest now not being included in the park tickets for next year on the ultimate ticket....this would tie in with the NBA news we got over the weekend!

Whats disneyquest? We have got the free memory maker which I'm so excited about because I was going to purchase it anyway. But we have not received the gift card.

I read you will get posted a voucher, you need to then take the voucher to the World of Disney store at Downtown Disney and exchange the voucher for the $200 giftcard.

DisneyQuest is an arcade with some virtual reality games, located at Downtown Disney, it is pay entry then free play on the game machines. However it's not included on the UK 2016 tickets so the speculation is that DisneyQuest is closing soon.

Did the offer say you will get a gift card? I know Disney uk and virgin holidays were definitely doing the gift card too! Disney quest is a huge building at downtown Disney which is full of newish and older arcade machines......been in need of a total revamp for years now which looks like ain't going to happen as its getting turned into an NBA cafe with themed gaming areas!
