Frankenweenie has arrived at DLR mainly at DCA as part of Halloween Time. Hollywood Land has 3 offerings for this, and a small part over at Haunted Mansion Holiday.

So, let me get this straight... a temporary drink at DCA, based on a movie that isn't even Disney's biggest headliner for the season, exemplifies greater creativity and originality than the signature beverage at WDW's highly-touted, years-in-the-making expansion to its flagship park??

I love when they do exhibits like this in the Animation building! It's fascinating to look at the work of the artists and the amount of talent/creativity that goes into a movie like this. I really loved the Snow White exhibit they did a while back in the same location.

They even added two of the characters to the Animation class schedule!

Well, you can't expect those TDO suits to work too hard, can you?!? It's hot and muggy out there, and they can only do so much. :D

The Franken-Fusion Lemonade is reportedly quite a hit. It's a very dark black color, with a froth of pure white foam on top, and DCA's spokesman told the OC Register it's supposed to look like it came right out of the black-and-white movie it is based on. The hot dog wrapped in bacon is made to look like it has "stitches" as if it had been stitched back together by a mad scientist. Clever!

The Frankenweenie meal combo at DCA this fall:

I'm definitely going to try the hot dog and the lemonade when I'm at DCA. I've already gotten into the mood by re-watching the original Frankenweenie short (it's been so long since I'd last seen it that I'd forgotten it's live action) as well as The Nightmare Before Christmas (for the HMH).

If the Franken-Fusion Lemonade is successful enough, what are the odds that we'll see the following specialty beverage at the Magic Kingdom in a few months:

Ursula's Inky Elixir
Has the hot Florida sun made you feel like you've been raked across the coals? This chilling concoction is perfect for the poor unfortunate soul who needs some enchanted refreshment: an inky blackberry-and-lemonade potion straight from Ursula's cauldron, topped with a layer of fizzy lemon-lime sea foam. At only $6.99 (plus tax) or $12.99 (for a collectable mug worthy of Ariel's grotto), we can't imagine that someone couldn't pay the price!
