This may have been posted already but was making/changing our FP+ ressies for Christmas week and DHS and EPCOT attractions are now tiered.

MK and AK are not yet.

Just thought I would let people know. No more TSMM, and RnR on the same day Or TT and Soarin :(

These have been in a "testing" phase. If you don't like the tiered approach be sure to communicate to CMs, just don't take it out on them. Just tell to them to pass it along to their supervisors. Hopefully, WDW will get enough feedback to not go tiered. If you're going to be limited to 3 per day anyway, I would prefer to choose any three.

Oh we always love the CMs and tell them when they do a great job!!!! I do voice concerns and give constructive feedback!

I hate the it is tiered, 1 park per day, and only 3!

As I said it has turned us off pretty bad and we had a fair but if trouble with our bands and the site.

Ok..this is news to me. So now I need to make FP reservations two months before I leave on my trip...I can only make them for one park (knocking at least some value off parkhoppers)...I can only make 3....and I can't make them all for E-ticket type rides? Only 3, but I don't get full choice of the park with those 3? Seriously? People honestly like this? This is completely changing the way I visit the parks after having had family buy in to DVC 20 years ago. Honestly, this is trash. I can't believe we've spent as much money as we have in these parks, and this is the return now. Disappointing to say the least. Anyone want to buy some DVC points?

I got MK FP+ ressies for Space Mtn, BTMRR, and Little mermaid all on the same day- I think that's pretty good!
I also got EPCOT FP+ ressies for TT, SSE, and M:S on the same day. Depending on what you want to do, I think this works out pretty well. If I can I will wait in line to do some of these standby as well, as the FP+ will save the run-around time. I guess I'm a glass half-full kind of person :)

And that's a great perspective to have. I think most people would describe me that way, as well. But this is about diminished value from my viewpoint. Diminished value on what's already been spent...and diminished value going forward on dollars I've yet to spend. It's not really about being negative..it's about using discernment to make decisions with my travel/entertainment dollars. It adds layers of complication to the last thing I want layers of complication added on to: my vacation time.

I'm not too happy with how the DHS tier is set up...all the attractions in the 2nd group hardly ever have large wait times, at least in my experience. All the rides WITH great wait times are in the first group and you can only select one! This will ruin all of my planning if they go through with this! I guess if I want it to remain free though, I, as a beggar cannot be a chooser. :bawling:

I had no clue! I have been off the sure since November (out last trip).

They (my disney experience) erased 1/2 our FP+ for our December trip so I had to rebook them and of course now I have the restrictions!

This will be our last trip for a while. We are not liking the changes and need a break from the "uber planned" vacation.

This is my fear, you just made me check our FP+ selections...for about the 20th time in two weeks.

I will tell you that it happened 3 times before our Novemeber trip. I actually had to make 4 calls for IT help and they honestly had to work on it each time and call me back later (or the next day).

I will say we were a party of 14. I had control of everyone because of the issues.

At one point my mom online checked in and it wiped my dad, brother and myself out of the system! We were in 3 different rooms with different ressie and confirmations!!!? It was crazy.

But we struggled badly with the system that trip. I am hoping it won't happen again but am guarded in my optimism.....

I actually vowed to skip the online check-in, terrified it could cause me problems. I hate I have to worry about losing what Disney has forced me to do with this "test session". I know nothing is worry free but I never worried about fast passes before.

This really worries me as we are going with a group of 11 in June. We also have 3 different rooms with different confirmations. I have everyone under my account for now and I'm not sure if and when I should have my brother set up his own account for his family. I'm afraid it will mess up everything and make FP+ scheduling a pain in the butt! I plan on keeping my parents under me because they have no desire to mess with any of this!

Well the only reason I am up to speed on this is I have sort of been keeping an eye on the DVC Poly expansion when this topic caught my eye. There is no way I am spending that kind of money with this idiotic system in place. I just can not believe this was ever green lighted to begind with. At least I have quadrupled my post count here as a result...

This new FP+ system is one huge reason we changed our trip from 5 nights to 1 night then going on a 4 night cruise. Planning months and months in advance in unappealing to me. I just tried to change our FP picks from MK to DHS for February. We aren't landing in MCO until 11:45am and booked a late lunch at 3:30pm at 50s. Picking FP that were late enough so that we could use them and that didn't overlap with dining was a pain. I looked through all the choices I had... A, B, C and Best Pick. I noted what times each one had a return. I noticed TSM was the only one with an early return on the option that would best fit our schedule, but I saw it had a later return time on one of the other options. So I said "I'll just book the best option then just change TSM to fit by changing it to the later time" Well when I went to book the later time, it was not an option. I actually noticed this on several of the attractions that there were later FP times on the initial screen that shows you the different options, but if you selected one option and then tried to change it to the later time after all were confirmed, there was nothing. I don't understand how it would be available 30 seconds earlier but when I went to change it, it was gone. I even went back in, deleted all my FP picks and tried it again and sure enough those later FP times were avilable to pick initially, but when I confirmed times then tried to change them, they were gone. I actually also had to change our dining time due to this. Thankfully there were other times because it's 50s at non-peak time. I would have been mad as heck if I had to change a ressie like BOG or Ohana at 48 days out because of changes with our plans and have nothing be available.

FP+ really limits your ability to be spontaneous. If you wake up one morning and decide you don't want to go to MK that day as planned and want to go to Epcot instead, now you have to change all your FPs. And I'm doubtful there would be any openings on the E tickets since people will have booked those months in advance. So now because you want to go to Epcot you're stuck with Nemo, Imagination and SSE rather than your good picks of Space Mtn, Splash Mtn and PPF that you had at MK. At least withlegacy FP if you want to go to a different parkm you have the same chance as everyone else to get a FP because you get them the day of.

I expressed my displeasure with several things in a long email to disney a couple weeks back. I expected the generic "we will forward this information on to the appropraite parties" email in response, but I actually got a phone call from a CM regarding my concerns. I have not had a chance to speak with her yet, but I will definitely be addressing the FP+ situation when I do.

Wait a minute...I don't know what kind of a travel budget you all have, but the CURRENT ticket prices HARDLY make you a BEGGAR!!! I think you have every right to be a chooser.

The Disney suits have devised a fancy dancy new marketing scheme which has greatly decreased the activity value of the very expensive theme park experience that you are paying good, hard earned American greenbacks for!!! I know that I and mine will be thinking twice before booking again !!! There are a LOT of other first rate travel experiences to be had for about the same amount of $$$
