FP+ filling up?

I am three weeks out and I just got to make mine (I am an AP but it was screwed up and IT just fixed it today) and I was able to get all the FP+ and the times I wanted - there were quite a few options for every ride - and I picked stuff like Soarin' and Toy Story. The only one gone is A&E M&G.

Good to know! If most things are not full at three weeks out, this leads me to think that there would be a decent selection still available a few days out (in other words, if we go to MK on Sunday, we may want to sit down that evening and rethink our FP+ for when we revisit on Friday morning). Sounds like, for the most part, that will be feasible. I'm definitely not relying on any kind of expectation, but it's good info to have under my hat. Thanks! :)

We were at wdw for our spring break March 24th-28th. We had done our 3 fp+ selections at the 60 day out mark for the trip but while on the trip decided to change an epcot day to dhs instead. With 2 days out we weren't able to get any time for tsm. I know people use to complain you had to get a traditional fp for tsm before 11-noon (same day of course) or they were out so now it's suppose to be a great improvement that they're out over 2 days before hand...nice.

I go in 50 days :)

Just moved some FP+ around on a single day, moved them latter in the day. I got what I wanted but did see some limited time slots. So I would say they are filling up :)

@BigTxEars which ones? I edited a few things last night with no problem.

I was changing DHS FP+s, I concluded after our comparison on our trips on the other thread, the one that we were both doing MK till 2am that night, that I needed to change them. My DHS FP+s the next morning were a wee bit earlier than I wanted after being up that late . I noticed that on TSM I could choose early morning (9am hour) or late afternoon (2pm hour) and up. The middle ground was not open. Now I might just have not looked at it correctly. I am still a new FP+ user and not a power user yet :)

I did get what I wanted though!

Yeah a few others said TSMM is the main thing at HS filling up. I'm doing that one on our second day at HS instead of RnC because I figure DH and I will like it better than TSMM lol. I wanted to ride RnC together at least once... then after that I have no qualms using single rider if that helps the ride times (although I read that's not always the case).

We have RnR coaster the first night we are there, I think it will most likely be our first ride in fact. I really love it but it kinda tears up my tummy after riding it :( But I will man up and ride it I will! I saw Aerosmith last in 1992 in San Diego, makes me feel young again!

TSM is sweet as well, very well done but as you know it can get crazy busy. But I think we will get it in at least twice this trip, one FP+ and one waiting in line. If they let loose with the extended FP+ option then maybe more than that. :)

I think Tower is my favorite ride at DHS, it messes with my stomach too but it's worth it.

Omg I'm terrified of ToT! I can see myself crying in line because I'll be scared lol... yep, I'm chicken like that.

It's our first HS FP+ so I can get it over with and enjoy my day ;)

I am really getting excited now, lots to look forward to as "new" since we have not been to WDW since 2011.

7D Mine Train, New FL expansion, New Test Track look, the castle being painted etc....new places we have never eaten before, never stayed at the BW before etc....

Yep it's pretty cool :)

I'm an AP, so just as a test, I decided to pick several random dates within 30 days.

If I wanted to get something right now for MK tomorrow, I could get anything besides Anna and Elsa. Epcot I can get anything. DHS same thing (honestly, AK I wouldn't worry about. You hit it right, you'll do everything). I check MK 30 days out. No Anna and Elsa. I checked middle of the week when the park typically isn't crowded. No Anna and Elsa. You will need to book 60 days out for them; however, you should be able to see them if you hit it either really early or really late should you not get a FP.

When we were there in Jan, we had no problem changing our reservations for FP+ day of. I wouldn't think that, major attractions like TSM being exempt, you'd have a ton of trouble booking day of. I'm also wondering about other factors, such as the amount of people who know that you can book three more FPs. I think what others have said though; it will vary depending on when you go. I kind of wonder too if Disney holds a certain amount back for booking day of.

Single rider for Rock 'n Roller Coaster will vary. We waited 10 minutes once, another time 40, and our friends waited 20. Tip: EYEBALL THE LINE. If it's out the door, you're looking at 30 minutes at least. If it's WAY out the door, get out of line. If you're inside but not immediately up there, about 20-30 minutes. If you're right up there, it could be 10-20 minutes. Once we got in singles and rode next to each other, so it was very nice.

The ride to use singles for is EE. Instead of looking for parties of a certain size to fill up the back rows of the train, they use singles to fill it. So while you could end up separated, you could end up together. And if the standby line is 20 minutes, singles is about 5, so you can ride it several times. We did it 5 times through singles and ended up together 3 times. EE's standby line time is usually a good gauge of how long you'll wait in singles. 20-30 minutes: probably 5, 40-50: 10-20 minutes, 60+ 20-30. Like I said, AK is the park that's okay with having FP+. Tip: do it on a Saturday or Sunday. It won't be crowded. For some reason, the most crowded day is Wednesday.

Your other option for hitting TSM/RnRC is to get there early and hit it first thing...or if you aren't planning on seeing Fantasmic, you can ride either one last thing and the wait shouldn't be bad. If you hit it at night, even if it would normally seem long, it's not because they close the lines and you won't have a bunch of FPs coming in to hold it up, so it moves pretty steadily. You can also do this with Soarin' and TT, and it works with any of the mountains at MK (personally, I like hitting Splash last thing, and BTMR in the dark is cool).

I think things have changed a great deal since January. There are more people using FP+ with offsite guests and AP holders having access now. Plus, June is a much busier time than Jan.

At 40+ days, I can get anything I want other than A&E (which thankfully I already have). But the times are becoming more restrictive. Day of, I am told to expect all the headliners to fill up. I can definitely see that happening since moving them around is getting more limited and I still haven't reached the point where off-site guests and AP holders can make their selections.

It's also spring break season. In lower times, you may not have as much of a problem.

Yeah I'm going the same time, but we are avoiding hs on official SW days, so I'm hoping we can still have manageable crowds for the most part. We'll see!

I would avoid DHS on weekends just as a rule of thumb. Like I said, AK is most manageable on weekends. We like spending Sundays at AK during the day and hopping over to MK for EMH. That way you aren't dealing with the MK crowds all day but you still get to enjoy EMH, and since AK closes earlier, you still get the full use out of your day.
