Why? Because you want to have one person with full access to FP+ slots and FP+ blocks off the time of your ADR for at least 1 hour. Use one person to do ADRs, and one person to do FP+, and then copy their FP+ to your whole party. If you put guests on your ADRs, in blocks them off too.
As an example to explain what I mean. Say you had an 5:45 reservation at BOG. Sure would be nice to have a FP+ for ETWB right before, but FP+ is only giving you options on the hour and won't let you choose 5-6, because of the ADR. 4-5 is your only option, but a little too early. To get around this, use the account for the person not on the ADR to schedule the 5-6 window, and then you can copy their FP+ selections to the person who holds the ADR.
I really hate how FP+ is so limited in the times its lets you select, but this little trick has allowed me to get my FP+ to better align with my plans. Hope it helps you as well.
