Hi all,

I know about what's up with MK's fireworks this year, but I can't seem to really find anything about Epcot or DHS. Can anyone shed any light on what those parks have planned for the Fourth this year?

Thanks! :)

I was at DHS last year on the 4th and in my opinion the fireworks were horrible. Show only seemed to last 5-10 minutes and was nothing special considering the day. We were very disappointed especially after camping out early to get a good spot and wasting an hour. I was at Epcot on the 4th two years ago and was very impressed. One of the best shows I have seen. I plan on spending the 4th this year at Epcot.

What do all the parks have planned specifically? I am more interested in seeing Magic Kingdom i guess but what do they have in store exactly?

I usually catch MK's fireworks on another day besides the 4th (when they run previews shows) and then go to Epcot on the 4th. The tag at the end of RoE literally takes your breath away. It's shorter than MK's, but the amount of shells launched is just amazing. I highly recommend it. Get there VERY early though - as places fill up fast. We arrived 5 hours ahead of time and secured excellent spots.

I've never seen DHS' but I've heard it's quite disappointing. If you stand in the right spot in Epcot, you can view DHS' as well.

Magic Kingdom performs its own special Fourth of July show, which includes different fireworks timed to patriotic and American music. In other words, its a completely different show from "Wishes". One great aspect is I believe they will now use the 360 barges they used for New Years, meaning the fireworks will be all around the Magic Kingdom.

At Epcot, there is the usual display of Reflections of Earth. After RoE has finished, there is an extra fireworks "tag" after the show. If you've been to Epcot during the hoidays and seen the extra fireworks, its something like that. Anyway, this tag is something in the region of 5-7 minutes. The past couple years, Epcot has used music from a couple of American composers as oppossed to the classic patriotic marches you normally hear during Independence Day fireworks. Still, its a great display with A LOT of fire power.

As for DHS, I've never been there personally, but they do put on their own show. However, I hear it is rather short, and probably uses the least amount of fireworks. From what others have told me, I would stick to either Epcot or Magic Kingdom during the fourth., as they have the better overall presentations.

Hope that helps!
