Is the magic still there? Yes.

However, that should not be a reason to simply ignore current issues. The intention is to bring attention and hopefully find a way for the higher ups at WDW to hear about these issues in some way or another and bring it back to how the parks should be.

Though, as a whole I think it is difficult for a few issues to ruin a trip, especially when there is still a lot of good to point out. But if all we were to do is talk about good things on here then it would be a boring place. Really, it is to be expected since the internet is 24/7, just like the news, and look at what that is, they say barely anything good, so we're a step above that.

oh NOOOOOO !! Don't tell me that !! I can't even IMAGINE waiting a year or two between trips:mad: I start missing WDW the day we are saying good bye to the World :( !!! I am an immediate gratification person I gotta go several times a year if I can swing the finances!!
Seriously as long as the resorts are nice and the dining is fun and food good with variety, I am not that big of a theme park person although I do love that my daughters and grandkids are entertained with the parks, and I am too, but for me WDW parks is alot of walking in circles....I get lost with the maps still, which subsequently requires me to hit the Mandara Spa at least once. So lounging around watching everyone, dining, a little shopping, the fireworks, the disney characters and a few rides everyday I have a great time at the resort and to me it is a great vacation to be had by all, as many times a year as I can get there!:)
Totally agree.....It's much more than a theme park, especially if you've got children..I still think IMOH that too many visits can turn into a " here we go again " It would be like going to see your favourite band three or four times a year, same songs, same theme, etc.Just my opinion :)

I moved to Orlando specifically to be by Walt Disney World. It had always been a dream of mine, and I came from a very broken household and never got to experience the magic as a child. The second I walked into the Magic Kingdom for the first time (at 25), I openly wept, nay sobbed, at the sight of my castle. Fast forward to September of 2012 when I moved here, and I visit the park 2 or more times a week (especially if I don't have to teach that day;)). Is it like the first visit? No. I still get a tear every time I leave even though it is 10 minutes from my house. I love Walt Disney World. I know there are many things wrong with it, what in this systems of things is perfect? I know the magic, I love the magic, and the magic lives in me. Each and every time I enter my Magic Kingdom I am so thankful that I get to visit my princesses and enjoy the magic anytime I wish. Thank you Walt!
Now that's what am talking about.Keep up the happy vibes, there's enough moaners & groan ears in this world already.;)

The thing that combats the "magic" the most is, in my mind, Disney's own skyrocketing pricing. The higher the price goes, the more guests' expectations of "magic" spiral out-of-control.

When my financially-strapped family of 4 could go back in the 80's for $60 a day or so in ticket prices, and peanuts for a space in Fort Wilderness Campground, we felt privileged just to be in Disney World. Although the cost was a sacrifice for us, we knew that objectively it wasn't that expensive a trip, and thus, our expectations were exceeded at every turn and every second was magical.

Now that I'm an adult myself and paying the equivalent of 3 monthly mortgage payments just to get to Disney World, stay in value accommodations and get into the Parks with a standard ticket and no "add-on experiences" (that's before allotting a penny for food), it's hard not to let my expectations become unreasonable. If Disney were priced a little more reasonably (or at least, if its price increases had tracked the cost of living over the years), I think they'd find that guest satisfaction would increase, and more guests would see "magic" everywhere instead of "kinda what I expected for the price," feeling like they were getting a million-dollar-experience at a bargain.

Thats the thing about this site, it informs, expands knowledge, entertains and broadens your life experiences, as well as exposing you to new words and cultures. All in the best possible taste.

The magic is what you make it. We go to WDW to enjoy ourselves and we always do. We happily inhale the pixie dust and enjoy. Are there things that aren't perfect, yes, but we don't let that ruin our vacation. We go to WDW to relax and enjoy ourselves and that's what we do.
Oh how I wish everyone would take this point of view.Way to go !;)

Well it has been easier for us because DD4 is a pixie dust junkie! We average 3 trips per year so she gets her fix. We love seeing her having the time of her life. Also, if I'm spending all that money I'm going to have fun! Plus we really just love the place, it's our happy place.
