Forums Drag

Steve, just wanted to let you know that the forums drag when I use them. I'm using Mac OS X and Safari with a DSL connection. Other websites do not do the same. Browsing is ok, but whenever I try to post, the box where you type a message drags incredibly slow. <--Is that a technical problem or a sign that I should just not post? :lol:

Suggestion - when I had the same problem, I changed the forum display (drop down at the bottom right to "Blue Daylight Dial up (no flash)". This cured it for me as the flash was draining my system resources.

Tried it, and it still drags...hmm...let me try the "Lite" version.

Well, it's not much to look at, but the Lite version has fixed the problem.

"Older" machines seems to slow down with the fancy layout (Mine is three years young, but considered old)

Afraid I don't know a heap about Apples. Well, apart from it's fun to wind up many of the fanatical users ;-) :drevil:

Any Mac folk able to help out disneyprep?

The same thing happened with me. I have an iBook G4 running Safari 1.2 (on dial-up, unfortunately). I still get the drag sometimes even on the light version. But it's not the end of the world, right?

Have you guys tried Firefox for Mac, to see if it makes a difference?
