I was wondering why other people are able to attach files of pictures and I can't,
on the bottom of my screen it reads

It depends which forum you are in.

For example in this one, no-one can attach files, but go to digital media or chit chat, and you can.

Just out of curiosity, what's the difference? I mean, does bandwidth not take a hit through the photo albums like it does through the forums? A picture is a picture no matter where you see it.

Yes the bandwidth usage is the same either way. The primary reason for me requesting this is that the forum database is not really designed for thousands of attachements. The datbase is getting to be in the region of 2GB, and is therefore becoming very dificult to backup/maintain. The photoalbum system stores the images in the Win2K file system, rather than in a database, so is therefore more suited to the job of handling photos.
