Fort Wilderness storing valuables

I've been searching all over the place for this info.

I have been debating throwing a tent, sleeping bag, and clothes in a duffle bag, hopping on a plane to Orlando, taking the magical Express to Fort Wilderness, and tent camping. If I go into the parks, I'm worried about if my stuff will get stolen. Does anyone have any experience with this?

We stay at FW all the time, leaving our stuff in a tent pitched behind my parent's motorcoach and have never had a problem with anything going missing. Same thing for all of their lawn decorations, never messed with.

I have never heard of anything like this happening tho you can never be to carefull. I'd just wait to do anyshopping till last day or don't pick up your packages that you ship back till you check out. That is if you can ship package's back? You'll have to ask someone if that option is available for FW.

Thanks

Hey all,

Thanks for your feedback so far. My friends think I'm nuts for even debating this, but since it's just me, I figure I can stay on property twice as long at FW as opposed to the All Stars. This way I might even justify an annual pass and flying down from DC four or five times during the year. I read somewhere about someone who just got a big plastic footlocker and chained it to a tree at FW with their clothes et al in it. Just weighing my options...

BTW are there any remnants of the old Fort Wilderness RR tracks still laying down there? I haven't been to FW since the mid 1980s, and got interested in that old RR again after taking the Steam Trains tour at MK this past May. I do remember seeing bits and pieces of the old track still around the last time I was there.
