Fort Wilderness Question...

We are heading back to Fort Wilderness in the spring. We pull a 41' 5th wheel toy hauler that will sleep 10 people very comfortably. There are only the 4 of us for the trip, but my sister, brother-in-law, neice and nephew are thinking of joining us for a few days. (We're staying 2 weeks this time!!!)

The question is...what do I have to do to "add" 4 more people at Fort Wilderness for a few days in the middle of a stay? How difficult is it? We can't be the first ones who have ever done this...

I assume I can just call and tell them of our small change in plans? We're not sure what days the freeloaders will be there (It's a joke, sis!), but I wouldn't think that would matter, either. I'd think they could park in the FW parking lot and I could go pick them up in our cart and check them in.

Is it really that easy, or am I missing something?

Are you staying on a package or a "room only" ("campsite only?") reservation? From what I've heard it's easier to handle with a room-only...

First off, don't change your reservation. It's something that needs to be done at FW after you've checked in. They'll be able to issue you extra Resort IDs for your additional friends, and handle any additonal per-person charges.

If you want to double-check, call and talk to someone at the FW Front Desk. The number i have for them is 407-824-2900, or call the WDW Main Switchboard at 407-824-2222 and ask to be transferred. (You may have to explain why you need to speak to someone, because the switchboard may try to transfer you to Central Reservations)

It's easy whether you're room only or package. I went in December on a 4/3 deal and wondered if I'd have any trouble adding my in-laws without having to get them tickets also. No problem. Just tell the front desk when they arrive and they'll add the names to YOUR reservation, so even if you booked on a package, you only pay the applicable extra person charges for the nights they're there.
