Fort Wilderness DVC Cabins

I think it was announced today that 350 FW cabins will be converted to new DVC cabins and will go online sometime in 2024. Below is the concept art for the new cabins. I’m am very excited for this as FW is one of our favorite places to stay at WDW. It does suck however that Trails End is closing.

Being lazy, so linking to my post in the Resorts thread for the Cabins.

@lentesta has posted a picture on the Touring Plans forum of a new cabin on a trailer.

I don’t want to steal that, hoping he might post it here!

But from the photo it looks like a central living space and two identical end sections. No room for the sleeping loft many were hoping for but it could mean 2 bedrooms with a bathroom each. That would make it very attractive.

Looks like the Reflections site is being used as staging for the new cabins.

Interesting permit. I wasn't sure what this was until @MisterPenguin pointed out that the location is Fort Wilderness which I confirmed. Not much information about that contractor except that they were incorporated about a year ago. I am guessing they are some sort of holding company. Expiation date of 5/1/2025 is also interesting.

Disney have applied for a timeshare licence for the FW cabins. The typical timeline suggests sales will start in the Summer of 2024.
