formal attire for CP

just wondering about the formal attire that they tell you to bring- are they talking like suitcoats and pinstripe pants for girls, or more like skirts and tops- like something you'd wear to church??? and what exactly is it for? you have to dress up for Traditions, right? anything else??

I just brought a pair of nice pants and a nice top. I also have nice khakis for class.

You dress up for Traditions and also any other training you might have like Food and Beverage training or your park/resort orientation. But if you're planning on taking classes you'll have to plan for dressing up once or even twice a week. I took a lot of dress clothes because I took classes. I packed nice dressy pants and pressed button down shirts but also skirts and sweaters and such. I did take one nice suit. But I'm obsessed with clothes so I may be a bad example!

hmm well i'm in entertainment so any extra training probably wouldn't require any dress clothes :lol: (although I could be wrong!!) and I'm not taking any classes.... so traditions is it??

Nope. You have to dress nice for training (at least the first day). I was with the character performers the first day of training, and we had to dress nice.

Bring a few nice clothing items, you never know when you might go somewhere nice or anything like that.

I'd suggest about three dressy outfits then. Plus they have random career fairs and stuff that you might need to dress for.

You also need to dress up when someone asks you on a date to those nice 4 and 5 star restaurants in the world showcase at epcot!

hmmmm ethnic food restaurants... could be interesting!! i'm excited to go see this world showcase at epcot.....heck i'm excited to see the whole dang park.... two weeks from tomorrow!!!!!

You don't have to go like crazy. For guys its like khakis and polo/button down shirts, and whatever the equivalent for girls.
