Forgoing the Park Hopper option

Well if it is a short weekend trip I see no need for a hopper...if I only have 2-3 days I only want to play at the Magic Kingdom anyhow....however if it is our usual week or more the hopper is a must!!! One of our favorite things is to switch midday and take monorail or boat to next adventure....DHS is a morning only park for us after seeing the shows multiple times we only hit about 4 things and get out of there....Sometimes I love the MK in the morning but head out to Epcot for dinner and evening around the world showcase....sometimes we just like to be able to switch our plans altogether and have that option.

THAT being said...this trip we got tickets through DH's work at discount....no hopper available but is can be added at guest services....I keep thinking if we only plan to hop 2-3 days would it be worth the hassle to only add park hopper option those days vs 7?!?!?!

Do all the park hoppers have to be used consecutively? The reason that I am asking is because based upon the thread I am now questioning if we should do them for our upcoming trip. We are going for 5 days, flying in on the first, and out on the last so we usually only do one park on each of those days. So could i do a 2 day without hopper then 3 with?

The park hopping price is the same for multiple day tickets regardless of the length. (ie a 2 day is $58.58 and a 10 day is $58.58.)

Monty;4829878]I usually buy it, or have an AP. I like the flexibility. If I'm in a park and a few rides are 101, it allows switching parks. If I finish up AK and decide to head over and watch Wishes or IllumiNations, it's easy.

Honestly, going to WDW, the last thing on my mind is saving a little money here and there.

That's how i feel. I constantly go to more than 1 park a day, even if it's only for 1 thing at a different park. I think i would just feel restricted if i didn'thave it. I guess im just too used to hopping.

Hopping for us isn't an option...it's pretty much our only choice...

We would love to be able to afford a trip for more than 3 days, but that's about all we can usually do.
And not being able to drive...it helps to stay on property (hence why we can only afford three days!)

But without a hopper...we wouldn't be able to see everything we want to.

And being park veterans at this point, there is a lot we skip...and three days is still sadly not enough.

I would be lost without the ability to hop!

We used to park hop, but with a 3 and 5 year old, we don't anymore. We do one park a day and are usually back in the room and putting them to bed by 7or 8 pm. We try to keep them on a fairly regular schedule so they are not tired and cranky during our vacation.

When they get older, we will probably add it again, but right now, it would just be a waste of money.
