A bit tough, considering they're both two of the best theme park rides of the past decade. I love both of them, but although FoP is definitely outstanding with wonderful immersion with great theming, I would probably have to say FJ is better, because I think the robotic arm ride system makes for a very unique experience, and there's a great balance between the screens and the forest scenes with AAs. It's one of the best rides at Uni, and I wish more of their simulators were like it, and less like Fallon or F&F. :grumpy: Hopefully the new HP coaster being built will live up to the standard as well.

My mom would probably disagree with my opinion, though. FJ made her horribly motion-sick, but she did fine with FoP and loved the entire thing. Personally, there isn't any ride that makes me sick, not even Mission Space Orange. ;)

I would have to agree with your mom! I love HP so much, and could spend days at Uni in those sections, but sadly I cannot ride FJ. EFG is hoot, though, and I love to be able to ride that. Almost all motion simulators make me ill, so I was pleasantly surprised - I can ride FoP! Now I love it, it's so exhilarating! I like the combination of screen and physical effects. Took my breath away.

I’ve never seen or had any interest in Harry Potter, however FJ is a solid ride imo. FOP is a gorgeous ride like the movie but also like the movie it’s a bit dull to me. Maybe I just prefer more of a thrill ride. Either way both are solid must do’s for every trip

FOP didn't have spiders. So that's wins it wins for me. Both rides are good though. I prefer coasters to either ride, so while I like them, I don't consider either terribly thrilling or amazing. Really good, but not exceptional.

My mom likes Gringotts too. The only two rides there that she can't handle are FJ and the Simpsons Ride. Also, Wild Arctic and Manta (even though that's a coaster) at SeaWorld. She does fine on literally everything else. I feel like she definitely wouldn't be able to handle MS Orange though. :p

I can't ride any motion simulators at Uni. I couldn't believe how badly I reacted to the Minion attraction. I don't do coasters too well either (bad back), but EE seems to be ok for me at least once. Space Mt. and Mummy are a little too jerky. My boys (now 26,23) won't even let me attempt Simpsons, lol.

Forbidden Journey will stand the test of time. Flight of Passage probably won’t. Forbidden Journey has a likable IP and a variety of effects (some timeless) and a story. Flight of Passage has cool technology and the day that the technology falls apart, the ride is embarrassing. It won’t happen for a long time but... I think the day will come.
