ive seen people knocked down being pushed forward at concerts so that people can get by them, then the people that fall get trampled. It can get dangerous quick, I was at a huge outdoor concert a few years back and was trying to help a girl get back up after being knocked down. I kept getting pushed by a drunk guy until I elbowed him in the nose breaking it in the process, you could tell by the now crooked blood pouring out thing that used to resemble a nose (I didn't want the girl trampled and had enough at that point). I think Disney does a really good job, but sounds like they may need to change the way that they get people to FOP. BTW six flags is so much worse.
Worst is the my family is up front (pushes way to front of every line and people let them... not me though).....

All they need to do is have security spotters watching, radio to where the queue entrance starts, and have another security team there to deny access, shut their MB down until the exit the park and re-enter. It worked wonders at Busch Gardens Williamsburg when the Griffin opened. They walked people down, but didn't stop runners or pushers. When they got to the ride before the crowd control, they were let into another queue, ticket deactivated, and escorted out. They could purchase another ticket or use another day on their existing ticket.

Man, that's a thread I'd love to see someday -- "Disney Cracking Down On Out-of-control Behavior By Guests."

I was just going to read this, shake my head at the stupidity, and move on. BUT, I feel that you should email or write the CEO plus GS with this event and your concerns. This is definitely, IMO, becoming a dangerous problem. Like you said, your daughter could have been badly hurt by this if events unfolded another way. I would think that WDW would want to do all they can to avoid law suits and bad press from someone getting hurt by this. The other parks seem to have better control of this. If WDW continues to ignore it, and get away with this nonaction, then nothing will change. Just consider it, Bigreddad! :)

And didn't they initiate the post rope drop rope walk at MK for this very reason? The mad rush to Frozen M&G was becoming a real danger, not just for guests, but CMs working along MS....

I don't see Disney doing this. The bad press and the complaints is what Disney tries to avoid. Due Busch Gardens size, or six flags etc they can get away with this type of thing and you never hear about it in the media. I could see them doing the first part of radio'ing over to have them quietly moved to the side and warned or maybe taken back to the front of the park. But I don't see being thrown out of the park or forced to buy another 200 dollar a day ticket ;) Unless.... they are physically hurting others, shoving down, pushing people to the ground etc. The running and slightly bumping/ light pushing I don't see them taking away a ticket.
They could do all of this honestly though, but it would start with an announcement at rope drop. Any pushing, shoving, etc will not be tolerated if you are seen doing this you will be removed from the park with no refund. At that point they could start enforcing it.
Sorry for the ramble

I agree. However, a ton more can be done. Instead of walking the people to the ride, queue them before the area even opens. They are assigned a "loading" number on their ticket or MB. This way they know the exact order people arrived and there is no need for pushing. Maybe not specifically an individual number, but a boarding group number. This will stop the jackholes from 1000 people back pushing people out of the way and to the ground just to get to the front.

So sue me if you think this is mean, but, if people are going to be rude then they deserve what they get. Im up and there early enough to be at the front. Push me once Ill give you a look, push me again Ill warn you, next time Ill step aside, trip you as you go by and make sure you land on your face, and step on you as I walk back past you. And Ill do it without even thinking twice or feeling bad at all. If more people would do what the original poster did or what Ive seen others do or done myself, rude people wont ever get the message, but, they certainly will pay a price for their rudeness. If you stop halfway down the row when CMs are saying move to the end and I have to step over you, I will purposely step on you. If you try to cut through a line to "catch up" with your party, im not moving or letting you by. Sorry, too bad. We pay the same price as the rude people or rule breakers, so why should any of us allow them to break rules when the CMs arent allowed to do anything. Sometimes the mass has to handle the "issue people".

And FWIW, I have seen CMs do things about issue people. I was boarding the monorail after watching the fireworks from the cali grill one night. Lots of people getting in line to board and these three young men, as you come up the escelator, rather than going through the cue, jump the line. I guess they thought they got away with it, but, as they got to the main entrance just past the elevator, a Cm stopped them. I spoke with him after he made them wait to the side as more than just the line they had cut passed. He was ex military and a very nice guy.I asked what he told them because he did it so quietly and the looks on their faces was priceless. He said he smiled and told them yes he had seen them cut the line and asked where they were going. They said they were trying to get to the parking lot. He merely told them well they could wait until he told them they could get back in the line or they could start walking now. It was brilliant and a lot of other guests were thanking him for his handling of the situation.

Before FOP and before the 3rd track we would see people cut the line all the time at Toy Story Mania. A couple of time we were waiting in that KILLER line and someone would either try and push past us or even SAY EXCUSE me. It depended on my mood sometimes I let them pass and sometimes I would say something like none of use want to be waiting this long in line.
It AMAZED me that people thought they could push past. EVEN if you have someone else in line. I have seen people push from the back practically to the front to meet their friend and its a LONG line.
I don't really care if someone is saving a seat at a show but Disney already has fastpasses that allows folks to skip some waiting in line but it doesn't mean you should be jumping the line all over.

I don't understand people sometimes (or more so a lot of the times). It's like, 'you are waiting in a line for a ride, the ride isn't going anywhere' but no. Impatient irrational people that are put in a line where they have to wait go bonkers. I compare it to people going nuts on Black Friday.

I get it that you get great deals and all, but the product will still be there tomorrow..

I made a vow a long time ago, I would not wait in unreasonable lines for anything. So I basically either get a fast pass or ignore the ride until it is a reasonable wait. of course I have this luxury since I am a season pass holder and can come back anytime. To engage in pushing and shoving seems uncivilized.
Not for me! Luckily I've just never experienced it. I've been on FOP three times and it's been fine , of course I used a fast pass.

I think the mentality works like this - large family, 2 people have to use the restroom, so the other 3 get in line and say "you can just catch up to us", not thinking that they're basically forcing the 2 restroom users to then cut in line to catch up.

It's great if you are physically able to defend yourself or to not let them pass. But there are those, like me and my husband, who cannot physically do those things. So, we have to move out of the way wishing we could do something. I wish Disney would allow the cm's to pull these people out of line and make them wait, or send them out with security. But that's just a "wish" until someone gets seriously hurt from these rude people. There are those of us who are disabled, older, etc, who cannot physically respond in any way. I have been known to say what I'm thinking, but that's it:)

What I am talking about is when you are in a 60-90min line and the people CUT all the way practically to the front. They didn't stop on the way or get separated walking to the next ride. I don't mind when someone goes around me and there group is close by. I'm talking blatant cutting. I don't ride roller coasters. If I took their attitude I would get in a killer line while my family road a coaster then let them go to the front of the line with me. I wouldn't think that was fair.

I managed to get on FOP twice on my recent trip - once getting to the park at 6:30am for rope drop and the other was a FP+ in the late afternoon. The rope drop qas interesting to say the least. My GF and I got there at 6:30am and were literally the 5th ones in line. Disney did their best to try to disuade people from running and the CM was basically warning everybody if you run, you will get kicked out. What was nice was that they let us in the park at 7:35 and by the time we made that march onto FOP and were in the queue ot was only 7:45. We actually were on the ride before 8am! It was fun! We didn't have to wait in line - just walked/marched the entire time without stopping basically.

I saw no running and people were pretty respectful of each other. Except for one major jerkhead. The guy was pushing his 3 or 4-yr old son in a stroller and running/sprinting past everybody. But what was the worst part about this guy's behavior was when another guest calmly told him to "Stop running". This d-bag sticks his arm up and flicks off the guy and then says "Eff off!! I am just trying to get to the ride like everyone else!"

Like this guy thought he was exempt from the rules and could do whatever he wanted? Anyways, immediately after this took place I saw a CM quickly come up to him and start talking to him. At first it looked like they were just asking him to behave but then I saw him become agitated and ticked off and turn around and being escorted by the CM, along with a security guard who had showed up, back out of the walkway to the entrance of the park. I believe he got himself kicked out of the park! This was great to see! So hopefully more CMs do crack down on the people running and breaking the rules.
