Good Morning All. I had an overnight stay at the Glasgow Hilton hotel on Saturday night for my birthday treat and of course had a awesome Indian curry as a birthday tradition. But at breakfast in the buffet section of the hotel was a bottle of scotch whisky. When I asked the head waitress what it was for,she looked at me in amazement and said " Why it's for your porridge,it's an old Scottish tradition " Well I've never heard of that one, anyway to get to my question. Is there a food tradition that you have when you visit WDW? Maybe something you ate or drank on your first visit and now do it every time when you come to Disney. My first drink when we arrive at our resort is always Root beer and we always have dogs & fries at least once from " Casey's whilst watching " Wishes ".Anyway, what is your tradition ?:)

Many, many of them.
We have one breakfast at Kona café and one at grand Floridian café as well. We have one meal at Cosmic Rays. Dinner the last night is always at the California Grill. We have to have at least mickey bar and one popcorn. I have to have a beer or cider for Rose & Crown. A snack of Root Beer and Chip N Dale pretzels in the room after a day of touring.

Our food tradition is at some point on our first full day we have a dole whip float. This is good because our holiday tradition is we always hit MK first on our first full day. Since our last trip i think we could have more traditions starting.:)

We have to eat at Pinnochio's Village Haus at the window that overlooks IASW.
That's our only MUST do. We will stand there and wait for the table for an hour if we have to, lol.

The other things we usually do are the Backstage Express in DHS (we call it "The Warehouse") and the Electric Umbrella in Epcot. DAK I'm trying to start a tradition of the Flame Tree BBQ.

We have to do breakfast at Tusker House & 'Ohanas, lunch at 50's Prime Time, and dinner at Yachtsman & Narcoossee's. That's the extent of our food "must-dos." :)

As for the buns, steaming them makes them very soft and warm. Firehouse Subs around here steams their sandwhiches. Very yummy.

Puffed french toast at Crystal Palace, my family knows this is a must with no exception! I always feel strange about assaulting the "kids" section of the buffet....but not strange enough to keep me from going back for seconds and thirds:D

Their pastrami smoked salmon was also excellent this past trip and I may be wrong but that was the first time I had seen that on the buffet.

For us, it's always a burger at Cosmic Rays and to sit outside and look at the castle. Topping bar, do I need say more? We also have to hit California grill, nothing better than a great meal with a view of wishes. Now drink wise, it's that first cold beer at the resort, or daiquiri, or margarita, or what ever;)

Always, always, always, on our first full day at Disney we will be found at the Magic Kingdom, tucking into breakfast at the Crystal Palace with the benefit of a 'before park opening' reservation.

We also always swing by Beaches and Cream, which shouldn't be so hard to do next year as we are staying at the Beach Club. Honourable mentions must also go to the Earl of Sandwich and Wolfgang Puck Express. We do tend to stick to what we like most. :)
