Excited that we will get to go during F & W in 2015. I've never been and I always love experiencing firsts on a trip to WDW. So what are some of your fave things about F&W ???? Anything one just can't miss?

Hi again! We went for the first time last year and were not disappointed! We were on the DDP so it was the perfect use of our snack credits.

My favorite dishes (subject to change each year I suppose):
  • Lamb Chop - Australia
  • Kahlua Pork Slider - Hawaii
  • Bratwurst in Pretzel Roll - Germany
  • Pork Belly - Brazil
I enjoyed going off the little passport they give you and getting the stamps from each booth, even if you don't purchase something from there.

They also had a few displays like a cranberry bog that was pretty cool to check out.

Sounds really yummy... I was looking at the menus from last year. Hubby and I aren't into seafood but the beef and all the cheese and dessert items sound delish! The bratwurst is a must I think! I'm thinking we will do an Epcot day where we start off early in Future World and then head to WS to eat our way around the world and finish off with dinner at Biergarten (hubby's fave) and Illuminations. Hopefully we can meet princesses along the way enough to make my DD who will be 7 happy. :)

The Saturday night half marathon :D

But seriously, shrimp tacos at Mexico are to die for. I'm sure the kiosk menus will be posted here. Be sure and make your list before you go. There was a dessert kiosk that was really good.

I would love to try to train for a half marathon. Getting my fat butt off the couch to do it though....not so easy. Dreaming of yummy food is much easier. :)

That sounds like a great plan! We love Future World in the mornings, and dinner at the World Showcase just makes perfect sense :) You're already there and it keeps you in the moment of being somewhere far, far away.

And yes, we saw Belle, Aladdin and Jasmine near Morocco, and Snow White by Germany throughout the day!

We went last year, and really enjoyed meandering through World Showcase and sampling items here and there (I had a delicious tuna hand roll at the Japan kiosk that I couldn't stop thinking about afterwards.)

We had the kids with us, so World Showcase was dicier at night, with some guests being less careful about language and less steady on their feet. Had it been just DH and I, however, we'd have loved hanging out there in the evenings -- World Showcase is a completely different experience after dark -- much more beautiful and romantic -- and nothing enhances "beautiful and romantic" like food and wine. Try to time some of your visits to coincide with the concert series.

We usually do a little of the World showcase after we eat dinner so are used to some adults being a little tipsy. I imagine its worse during F&W but hope we can just find a good illuminations spot and chill.

We have been to Food and Wine many times and LOVE it! I don't have any particular favorite foods, I just love sampling the different drinks. My DD (7 years old) loved the filet in Canada. I think she ate a total of 4 during the trip. One thing I will avoid is the organic beer. Uggg it was awful!

By the way if your daughter enjoys Phineas and Ferb she might like Agent P's World Showcase Adventure. My daughter loves it and it keeps her entertained while we are enjoying the food and drinks.

Whoever has the lobster will always get my vote !. I love the desserts in France. I would say I love all things french but I am not big on the snails which was the offering in 2011 which is the only time I was at F&W

My favorites would be the shrimp and grits (absolutely love them) my oldest is the escargot in brioche at France and we enjoyed the steamed bun at China that looked like a raw piece of dough, very good. Everything in Greece is wonderful, the griddled cheese is unusual and tasty. We liked nothing at the South African kiosk. The savory pie in Ireland was good as well. Have a great time, expand your horizons and try those things you think you never would like, you might surprise yourself!

The wine and cheese tasing seminar's

This year the woman host was, in a word, ANNOYING. However the experts were very good, the pairing excellent, and they kept refilling our glasses, so the host became more and more tolerable as the event went on.

The Italian food and wine lunch at Tutto Italia was also very good.

I did enjoy the 1/2 marathon the first two years, but since we only go for 4 days (wife being a teacher, that is all she is off) it really cuts into that long weekend, so I don't run it anymore.
