Hello all, I have flown down to Orlando in September for 3 years now and always never paid more than $150 RT. I also never purchased the tickets until August. But I have been looking and the prices are around 210 RT right now. Anyone know if this will drop.
I always and only fly Delta because i have frequent flyer miles with them.

Thanks

I think prices will drop...just keep on the look out..

I don't do flyer miles, so for me, the airline did not matter, and it was great to be able to get discounted tickets on a sale (last year August) that Southwest had $68.00 RT from New Orleans to Orlando, which was a great price, and it was a direct flight, whereas others airlines were much more expensive and not a direct flight.

But these kinds of sales will prompt other airlines to match them.

Good Luck. :)

I just checked Delta's site this morning and the RT price from Indy to MCO was 156.50 for a direct flight. This is down from 228.

We're buying ours tonight.

I guess I should check also!!! From Newark NJ to Orlando has been running about $211 for a round trip flight!!! that is the highest I have seen in a while. Anyone have any idea why the flights are so high all of a sudden?

Mousesavers has a link to both Delta and Southwest for a fare sale at both airlines. I just booked two RT tix on Southwest from Nashville to Orlando for $95 each, and that's taxes and everything.

I would be careful and watch it closely. I was watching a flight from Newark to Orlando for November. It was $211 on Delta round trip. That was the sale rate. There are only so many available seats at that rate. I booked and was able to get 2 seats at that rate and had to pay $253 for my other 3 seats. Good luck. The $211 rate seems to be the norm for here. You can fly out of JFK and LaGuardia for a few buck cheaper. Its probably equal if you figure in all the tolls to get to JFK or Laguardia. Good Luck. Let me know how it goes, I need a flight to Orlando in January.

I have never paid more than 160 for a rt to disney in sept. Paying over 200 is high for me. I could save money going to Laguardia, they had it for 138 rt last week. But that is 1.5 hrs without traffic from my house.

I agree BGraham. I tend to watch the airfarees from Newark also as that is really the closest airport to me. There were some fares that were really amazing last year like $118 round trip so you are correct over 200 is high. Any idea as to what it is now? I havent looked lately.

Thanks BGraham you are the best. And what is this with lower fares out of Kennedy and Laguardia??? I dont get it. I am kinda stuck with Newark as my Mom wont fly out of anywhere else!!!! BTW In case you are interested in a price break on the resort side of things from Oct- December check out my thread called Moderate/Deluxe Specials. I just got a whole bunch of info on some great rates (approx 36% off rack rates!!). Check there for the codes to ask for!!!

Thanks wannabeBelle, but i actually book in Sept at the wilderness Lodge. I got a room for 129.00 a night. I can't wait to stay there especially being i have never been there before. But I am even more excited that I am staying within a stones throw of the magic kingdom.

Figures that after I buy my tickets they drop the fare. Although the day that I am going Delta has no flights available until later that day so I would lose a day anyway.
