I was watching old vacation videos the other night and it was neat to see the similarities and differences in all of the parades through the years. it's easy to see that disney has thought of everything. this raises the question, if you could add any float in any disney parade, what would it be?

I have thought about what disney could add to electric light parade and I thought a Princess & the Frog float would be really cool, maybe a Tarzan float (don't If Tarzan and his skimpy costume would make it on) and a Mary poppies float would all be great and each one would contribute greatly with their wonderful music to the whole parade.

I've always thought it would be neat if MSEP had sort of a "dueling dragons" aspect. You've got Elliott already towards the end and he's a nice dragon, but I think it would be neat to have Maleficent in dragon form earlier on flapping her wings as well as raising and lowering her head/neck. I'd the want Prince Philip riding on Samson- sword in hand trying to fend her off. Since the horse would be real- I would think the Maleficent dragon would have to face backwards...but she'd be one heck of a float- and probably knock the socks off of what is in Fantasmic! - well, if it were executed in the manner I can see it in my mind.

And while it would have to be sans Mickey since he's with the drum, Fantasia has so many elements that lend itself to super cool floats and effects.

Also would love to see them bring back the Dumbo segment- even if they had to rebuild it!

I like it when they throw in the rare characters for little cameos.
Hint: They're at the bottom

Look who is appearing at Disneyland Paris :P (They are at the bottom ;) ) haha

I've had this conversation so many times before. We're talking about WDW here, not DLP. And I'm also talking about parade floats, not stand alone m&g's. Also every time I say a character is rare people post me pics of them in TDL or DLP. Fine and dandy. Now find some pics in WDW that are younger than five years.

Lol calm down. For good parade float ideas you will have to look beyond WDW as WDW parades are cheap and reuse 12 year old floats for every 'new' parade. Besides those pics were taken the other day.

Theres been a float with Walt at his drawing desk, so how about a float with the Sherman Brothers, at the piano, spotlighting some of their most loved tunes.
Or a float containing some of the early characters in the silly symphony cartoons?
