Pre-Trip Flights are cheap in November so.....Let's Go!!!

Welp
Here we go again....
I feel incredibly lucky to announce that we are going back to Disney World!!!
Lets get started!!

Who:
My Mom and I! For those of you who just read my last TR my mom and I traveled to DL together just this past August! (We don't usually wear matching outfits...)
232323232%7Ffp93232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv3%3B4%3B%3A%3Enu%3D3359%3E459%3E867%3EWSNRCG%3D49he8fe%3A0df35%2F76g50c95h%2Fh895434h5g66ot1lsi

When?
We will be going from November 14th-November 21st

Where?
We are staying at Art of Animation in the Lion King Suites ;) It seems a bit excessive to have a suite for two people but I booked this trip super last minute (as in 61 days out/had to stay up until midnight to book Fast Passes) so thats all I could get. They offered me Art of Animation or Wilderness Lodge (for a villa aka a million dollars) and I hemmed and hawed over it until the guy on the phone offered me off site hotels and I was like I will take Art of Animation haha
We have never stayed here before so it will be nice to see

Why?
For quite some time I have been throwing around the idea of going to Disney alone because I wanted to check out the Food and Wine festival and my vacation time (I took off so I would be off for Thanksgiving) happened to coincide with the end of the Food and Wine Festival. I was never super serious about it UNTIL I realized two things: 1. I could go to Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party and 2. (and more importantly) I could go to see the Osborne Lights one last time!
So...we were on a drive to Rochester to visit my nephew and I happened to be looking at flights and noticed they were cheap. I made a comment about how flights were cheap (hence the title) and with some talking my Dad conceived my mom to go with me and I was no longer planning a solo trip !!! (I did NOT really want to go solo but I figured if I had to I would...)
We are so excited!!!!!!

Next up: The Plans :)

Here are the plans :)
Having booked so late I struggled to find a lot of dinner reservations but with hard work I have managed to snag a bunch that we wanted. I am still looking for some but I'm pleased with what we have and again feel lucky to even be going again so I am not going to complain!

Saturday November 14th:
We leave at 7:50 am and land at 10:40 am :) We will be taking the Magical Express to Art of Animation and then planning on heading right out to Epcot for the Food and Wine fest
FPs (I literally stayed up until 1 am to make these...I booked the trip at 7 pm and then made the reservations that night haha)
1:55-2:55 Turtle Talk with Crush
3:10-4:10 M and G Character Spot
4:10-5:10 Sorian’
Then we will be eating at the California Grill at 6:50 pm. I wanted a later time because Wishes is at 10:00 pm but I am very pleased I got a time at all so I will take it! We may even pop over to the Magic Kingdom to see Wishes instead because otherwise we won't be at MK for a few days!

Sunday November 15th:
We will be spending the whole day at the Food and Wine Fest :) We have started looking at foods we want to try today...but we are both pretty picky eaters so we will see how adventurous we want to be. Hoping to catch Chaka Kahn at night for the Eat to the Beats concert at night
9:35-10:35 The Seas
10:40-11:40 Spaceship Earth
1:45 - 2:45 Test Track

Monday Nov 16th:
This will be our Hollywood Studios day with some quality time for the Osborne Lights :)
9:20-10:20 Tower of Terror
10:25-11:25 Toy Story Mania
11:25-12:25 Star Tours

50s Prime Time 6:30 pm : This is new for us! We elected to not go to our reservation for this last year so definitely want to try it this time! I am a little nervous..I can't decide if I want to participate in the fun or just ask if we can watch :)

Tuesday Nov 17th:
Finally a MK day!!
9:45-10:45 Space Mountain
11:50 - 12:50 Mickey M and G
1:55- 2:55 Mine Train
We will be doing lunch at Tonys at 12:30 pm (we also missed this reservation last year too)
THEN: Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party 7:00 pm!!! I know these things get crowded but I am still excited to see it. I am not sure if people dress up at all but my mom and I have Christmas outfits planned (I said we don't usually match but we will match this day haha)

Wednesday Nov 18th
Another MK day!
9:40 - 10:40: Buzz Lightyear
11:25-12:25: Peter Pan
1:10-2:10 Thunder Mountain
ANDDDD Be Our Guest 8:50 pm! I just got this reservation on Tuesday so excited! It goes to show you can find reservations if you are diligent enough!

Thursday Nov 19th:
Our one AK day
9:25-10:25: Kilimanjaro Safari
10:25-11:25: Everest
1:05 - 2:05: Dinosaur
Splitsville 6:00 pm - we really enjoyed this last trip..we may go bowling even if we can :)

Friday Nov 20th:
HS!
9:25-10:25: Aerosmith
10:25-11:25 Tower of Terror
11:35-11:50 Frozen Sing-a-long
I planned a late dinner so we could see the Lights one more time :cry:
Hoop Dee Doo 8:30 pm :) This was a surprise reservation...I found it so I grabbed it!

Sat Nov 21st:
9:00-10:00 – open (had a Festival of Fantasy Fast Pass and they dropped it....I will never see this parade apparently...I don't know why but its not happening a bunch during tis trip)
12:40-1:40 Space Mountain
1:40-2:40 M and G Cinderella and Rapunzel

I'm hoping to snag a character breakfast reservation this morning but if not no big thing!
Our flight leaves at 8:45 pm :(

Thats all the plans for now! When I get another chance I will post some pictured of our Disney mail and our Christmas stuff!

Lucky you! Your plans sound great. Glad you were able to get some good ADRs and that you were able to get ADRs for the places you missed on your last trip. 50s Prime Time is someplace I've been wanting to try. In the end we chose Mama Melrose's because we wanted to do the Fantasmic Package (my sister has never seen Fantasmic!). Soooo jealous that you will be able to see the Osbourne Lights! I've always wanted to go and it hasn't worked out. I am very sad to know that I'll never get to see them. Glad that your trip is so close. It will be nice to have your trip report to read while I count down to my trip.

I do feel incredibly lucky to be able to go again! I'm really excited to eat at 50s Prime Time this time..and Tonys so I can get the pistachio creme brûlée haha I've heard good things about Mama Melroses too! How is the training going? I will make sure to take lots of video of the Osborne lights so you can see them!

So excited for you! Always wanted to book a spontaneous Disney trip not 180 days out! Live the dream girl!! :) :)

haha thanks...I will say however that booking a trip less than 180 days out is exciting but also a little stressful. I'm not sure I could do it less than 60 days away though and not have adequate time to book Fast Passes :)

Sounds like so much fun!!
Stayed in a Lion King Suite last year with my family and loved it so much!
I'll (sadly) be leaving 3 days before you arrive! :( Cramming in a TON of Osbourne lights (can never get enough), Food & Wine, and as much MK christmas decorations as we can get :) Our plans are so similar!
my VERY picky eater best friend and I booked a trip 3 days in advance last year for a weekend trip and she loved food and wine so much that she was the one asking if we could go back this year! So, you'll definitely enjoy!
Also doing hoop dee doo (our favorite)!
My sister and I did the Christmas Party last year for the first time and had so much fun. One of my favorite Disney memories ever was at MVMCP, getting to meet/spend time at the end of the night with Cinderella, Rapunzel, Prince Charming and Flynn :inlove: MAGIC!

Looking forward to your report :)

This sounds like an awesome trip and you should have some pretty decent weather while you two are down here. Tony's is one of my favorite restaurants on property :)

The weather looks great so far so I am keeping my fingers crossed :) Here in Buffalo its rainy but cold so I am looking forward to some warmth. I'm really excited to try Tonys! Thanks for reading!

When do you leave for your trip thats so exciting!!! Sad that you leave before we get there that always makes me sad when I hear about people getting there after I'm gone. I am happy to hear about the Food and Wine Festival still being goof for picky eaters I am challenging my mom and I to try something new ! Osborne lights are a must its so sad that they are leaving! I'm very pleased to hear about the Christmas party because I feel like all I ever hear is negative things but we are going more for the sights so I think it will be OK with the crowds! We love Hoop Dee Doo too!

Wooo hoooo!!! So excited for you. I wish I could come meet you one day. I'll be flying down to Tampa to stay with my friend in St. Petersburg for a few days that overlap your trip, but since she doesn't have an annual pass, I don't think we'll drive up. I WISH!

Congrats on getting all those awesome reservations. And BOG?! Wow! Can't wait to read your next report :)

It looks like we might be on the same flight home, if you are flying out of Buffalo.
We are leaving the week before you, as we have 2 weeks in the world.
I am sure we both will have a wonderful trip!!

I leave this Thursday! I am SO excited. Too bad our paths won't cross!
You'll like the Christmas party! We felt it was a lot of waiting around in one place for A Frozen Holiday Wish, Celebrate the Season, Once Upon A Christmastime Parade, Celebrate the Magic and Holiday Wishes - but worth it to have a good spot :) Plus they were ALL so good!
I wish we could have fit it in this trip. Next year...:)

Your plans sound awesome! We booked our trip for the end of January 2016 about 100 days out...I love spotaneous trips! I also was just browsing flights (bored at work) and saw how cheap flights were that week from Hartford to Orlando. 2 hours later we were all booked! Enjoy your trip...can't wait to read about it!

Yay another trip for you - how lucky.
I will be there from 5th to 21st so we might see each other! I can't believe it's over 300 days since my last trip finished and I started counting down :)

OMG I really hope we run into each other!!!! That would be so fun!!!

Aw man well if you end up going to downtown disney or something shoot me a message :)

We'll be arriving on the 14th as well. Going to Epcot that day too. We'll be sure to say hi if we see you. Might be easier to recognize you in matching outfits though :)

Well I can tell you I will likely be wearing a pale blue dress with lace on the bottom (in homage to Cinderella). If you see me please say hi!

It's so cool that you will be there at the same time. It would be great if you see each other. I'd love to read about that in your trip reports!

Agreed :)

Have a great trip!!!!!! My mom and I were just talking about the Christmas Party saying thats all we want to do is see the Christmas stuff I don't care about riding rides or anything so I am glad to hear its worth it!!

Thanks!!! Its funny because we are all going as a family in May so I have obviously pre-planned that trip so far in advance it made me appreciate even more just how much I enjoyed doing this one kind of last minute. Planning is half the fun for me but at the same time a little spontaneity is great too!
