This maybe a silly question but can you book flights and hotel seperate and still get the offers from the disney website...i.e - the magic express? It appears alot cheaper than booking them as a package.

I never book my flight with Disney. I don't even get the package. I just book room only then add on tickets if needed. But I usually get an annual pass so all I do is book my room.

I booked flights and the Package for my trip in July. For some reason it came to 250 round trip per person on Disney instead of 350 per person on American's site. I think this was the only time I booked flights with Disney. Other than that I booked separately and just called them to add the information.

I've just booked my flights (Just over £700 for 2 adults) then phoned up Disney to book my hotel, they asked for my flight details and sorted DME very quick and efficient.

Without trying to sound to silly and you probably know this but if you are booking your flights separate, make for you fly into Orlando International to get the free transfers. I found that flying into Sanford was cheaper but obviously no DME.
