Ok so I am looking at flights for our trip and it just dawned on me that I haven't been on a plane since i was about 12years old. I am getting really nervous about flying now! Do any of you get nervous before getting on the plane for disney. I think our flights will be nonstop so it shouldn't be more than 2 hours.

I am an airline pilot and I get nervous every time I go flying! Just kidding:)

Remember, the pilots flying you are very good at what they do.

Like I used to say to my passengers when they told me they were nervous,

"Do you know whose safety I value the most on the airplane today?"

The answer is:
"ME!"
And because of that, all passengers are covered by the same umbrella of safety that use for myself.

I would be more worried about getting an ADR than I would about the flight to and from MCO.

BTW, when I flew passengers, my most favorite flights were into MCO. Everyone was always so happy to be going to WDW. One of my least favorite flights were out of MCO. Everyone was usually grumpy from burning the candle at both ends. I do miss walking down the jet bridge during boarding and telling everyone I had a fastpass so I could get to the cockpit quicker.

The only time I've been on a plane was in middle school on a trip to Disney. I got very nervous, and the air conditioning wasn't working on my seat, and it wasn't pretty. The take off was somewhat nerve racking, but once in the air I was fine. Then the descent was nerve racking again. The flight back was fine though. I had working air conditioning and a window seat. I love looking at the World from overhead. You can see the little monorail tracks and everything! Anyway... I don't think I'd be nervous now. I'm just past that stage, I guess.

Thanks! I never thought of it that way!
