Opening year. I waited over an hour for it and I remember sitting in the heat in that area. The wait would've been much shorter but people kept getting sick.

Yep...my first trip I waited over an hour.

After the orange/green missions most I've ever waited was 30 minutes for Orange.

FWIW, I mention this every time the topic of the alleged Horizons sinkhole comes up. My dad was on the Horizons maintenance team in the early 90's. According to him, there WAS foundation cracking. Apparently the structural engineers weren't too concerned, though, and he assumed it would be repaired once the ride went down for an extensive refurb. He doesn't know if they did during the year it was down as he had long moved onto other maintenance teams, but when I asked him about the urban legend of the sinkhole, he dismissed it as he didn't think they'd keep it open off and on for another 5 years if there was any real danger of structural failure. He figured it was much cheaper to demolish and start from scratch.

I would wager money that some of the people who post here on this fan forum would be more likely to know real information about a particular attraction at Animal Kingdom than anyone in Bob Iger's office.
