Flight of Passage Effects Status Watch

Where is that on Flight of Passage? I don't remember any animatronics on it, so now I'm wondering what I missed. Thought the ones in Pandora were over on Na'vi River.

There's one in the queue.

I actually had to look it up to see what it was. How impressed was I with it the 3 times I've seen it now? So much so that I didn't realize (or much care) that it moved. It's floating, it looks cool, but I'm not standing there long enough to care much if it's "working" or not. lol

Not sure what the "spiky thing" that you refer to in the queue is either, but I guess I have a lot more studying the queue to do next time in line to look for those details that I hadn't seen before to see if they're working or not. ;)

Yes
I saw the wikipedia definition, but I still have no clue where in the queue or ride it is, or what it represents in it. May as well say the whoseiwatchit thingamabob wasn't working either. :)

It's in one of the cubed "lab displays" you pass by. Petri dish with dark liquid that when you pass a strong magnetic field through it arranges itself along the field gradients when combined with surface tension makes "spikes" that follow the moving field. I guess they think it's suppose to be a simulated life form.

Thank you! Now I at least have a clue what and were it was. :-) I very much appreciate that. No disrespect meant @MisterPenguin but I haven't memorized the queue so had no clue what it would have been there.

i wish that room of the q was timed out to be a pre-show room where guests could wander freely and actually see the effects. The one time I did standby the line moved so fast through that room. I had a similar problem with the guardians tower at dca.... by the time you get to the cool stuff you’re so close to the entrance that cms are rushing you through half the time.

Normally I’d say the same thing about the AA but what caught me off guard was that it was basically a statue. I didnt know that the AA’s movements actually made it appear like it was floating. I thought it really was. But it literally was not twitching, but also not floating. Just kinda there. It was odd.

I know what you mean.
I also enjoy taking my time to explore the more detailed queues.
'Indiana Jones Adventure' and 'GoTG: Mission Breakout' at DLR as well as 'Flight of Passage' and 'Expedition Everest' at WDW are my top four detailed queues that I like to take a slow walk through.

There is nothing stopping you from taking in everything at your own pace when in such queues.
Just stand aside and let the Guests behind you pass by.
I do this often, and it's not a issue.

Savor everything that is there....it's the reason it's there in the first place.
Entertainment value, and for fans like us!
:)

They could be more strategic about it for sure. They could have crowd control CM's rope off the lines strategically so that guests in line were at a stand still for the cool parts, and the outdoor parts where they got to see Pandora. And periodically pull the rope back and let a lot of people through when they're just walking through the cave parts so that they get through that fast.

I think that the ride needs a single rider line for sure. They're pretty good about not leaving empty seats, but instead of calling out for single riders, it would be handy for the CMs to just have a pool to instantly choose from. I've also noticed that they'll use a middle line for single rider lines, but not until you're almost at the end. But I only saw this line operating once.
