Very different look/shape to the building compared to the one out here at DCA. Assuming it's the same ride layout?

This appears to be the show building, which is almost identical to the one at DCA. The difference lies in the queue areas: the DCA version seems to be ore incorporated in the building while the MK version has not even begun yet. Another factor is the existing structures incorporated in the construction. DCA is using the old colonnade from Golden Dreams. MK is using the old north and east walls of the old 20k ride building.

My last view (Sunday the 3rd) saw the catwalks being hung in Mermaid. These will allow for access to lighting and show elements.

So what was that steel box-looking thingy (as it is referred to in the construction business) in the first picture? And not just was it is, but what it will be.

...by the way, If Glee fans are Gleeks, does that make all of us FLEeks?

Plus the WDW version will have a m&g included inside the structure while I don't think the DCA version will. But the ride itself is an exact clone.

Those are sheet pile. Driven in temporarily to prevent soil collapse or in a high water table area to enable pumping out of water.
Could be anything from a sewage/drainage collection box or pumping station or some sort of electrical substation.
Or, perhaps. it's the entrance to that long deferred attraction, "Welcome to Hades House".:fork:
