New Service for Digital Cameras 1/3

Beginning January 3, 2005, a new service will be available to our guests visiting our Theme Parks. This new service for digital cameras will allow Guests to download their images and other media information from a digital media card to a CD.

Each of the camera centers in the four Theme Parks have been equipped with this new technology. In addition, this technology will be deployed in the Disney Resort properties over the next few months.

Due to the increase in digital camera usage during recent years, Guest demand for our on-property film processing services has decreased. As a result, film processing will no longer be available at the four Theme Parks or the Walt Disney World® resorts effective January 3, 2005.

Disney at Home Shop Closing 1/3

Beginning in the Spring of 2005, a new, expanded Goofy’s Candy Company will be unveiled, featuring an interactive show kitchen filled with unique and tasty confections.

To make room for this new offering, the Disney at Home location at Downtown Disney Marketplace will begin a period of refurbishment effective January 3, 2005, making the store's last day of operation, January 2.

The current Goofy’s Candy Company will continue to operate until approximately a week prior to the opening of the new location. The former location will then undergo a brief refurbishment in preparation for another retail concept.

Sandcastle Club

Beginning January 1, 2005, the Sandcastle Club Children's Activity Center at Disney's Beach Club Resort will temporarily stop operating to accommodate a three-month refurbishment of the Atlantic Wear & Wardrobe Emporium retail location.

As a result, the Harbor Club at Disney's BoardWalk Resort will resume operating January 1 through March 31, 2005.

The Sandcastle Club is expected to return to normal operating hours beginning April 1, 2005.

Changes to the MK parade route.

Do to rehab work in the Castle hun area, the SADCT will turn RIGHT after it goes over the Liberty Square Bridge, then go down Main Street.
Spectro will turn LEFT when it comes up Main Street, and then go ever the L/S Bridge. This will slightly sorten the route, and decrease viewing. This will take place Monday 1/04/05, and run until March.

Sorry for the short update this week.

Thanks for the update:sohappy: Can you clarify whether Disney at Home is closing for good, just being rehabed, or being relocated?

most likely if it's kodak, it will be kodak picture place systems. you should have an option to take out your CF,SD,XD,Mem stick, etc card out and stick it into any of the systems and transfer. sounds good since Film is pretty much dead for home users unless you use an SLR type camera. Personally flash memory has become so cheap lately just buy 2 or 3 cards and you should be all set. heck my 128mb CF card cost me all of $3.

i was wondering when parks were going to start making the jump to major digital processing instead of the traditional film processing. you know, the 1 hour photo (minus robin williams; creepy)
