Trust me. I went in 2010 and 2011. There was a trail in the Splash extended queue in 2010 as well, it just didn't have a fancy name. In fact, I remember being upset last year, because the fancy new named trail was not as good as the unnamed one that it replaced. They were actually handing out fruit snacks in Tomorrowland Terrace, but it did not even have something as simple as people in those little playing card suits. Check it out: 2010 map 2011 map
I guess agree to disagree, then. I was there both years. I didn't even think it was a suitable replacement for the "cave" trail between Splash and the store, let alone for that and the Alice trail. It was expanded in 2011. In 2010 (and possibly prior years, my memory isn't that good) you entered through the old entrance to the left of the laughing place store, and got candy at the end after going through the little cave that is no longer part of the queue. In 2011 it was completely reworked as a replacement for the Alice Trail. You wound all around the extended queue with special displays of Splash Mountain Themed Pumpkins with several treat stations along the way.
It is crap. and it will stink much worse in person when that lame popish disney channel tween electronica music is blaring over the park's sound system.
You are correct, Melissa and her cracker jack team have decided to rest on their laurels another year. I'm sure some entertainment CM will be along in a minute to say this is due to all the effort being expended on the NFE entertainment though...When is the cast preview? I assume the lack in info for this year, with the exception of the pre parade, means not a darn thing is changing compaired to last year?

I am aware of 5 changes none of any consequence.
