Flamingos

Please forgive me if this has been posted previously (I did check!) but what happened to the cute flamingos between Odyssey and Mexico in EPCOT? Are they gone?

I haven't seen them there the past times I've been there..However they do have them at AK just as you enter the front gate in a little creek area.

Not there. AK has a few, but if you're really into flamingos, head to Sea World.

I'm only into flamingos that reside in EPCOT ;-)
That makes sense if they were moved to AK. Just one of those little things that made me smile when I used to stroll EPCOT. Plenty more to see..

Originally they had flamingos in Epcot and Discovery Island.

They now have flamingos at Animal Kingdom Lodge and in two places in Animal Kingdom. Presumably at least some of the current ones are descendants of the two original flocks.

Are you sure they were actually flamingos?

Because, you'd be surprised at the number of times I've heard people in the parks misidentify Ibises for Flamingos.

Irritable Ibis says: "The HELL you calling a flamingo? YOUR MOM'S A FLAMINGO!"
