Fixing DinoLand U.S.A.

Ever since it first opened, DinoLand U.S.A. has been considered one of the weakest areas in the whole of WDW and a blemish on an otherwise beautiful park. Clearly Disney can do better than that. But the thing is, what exactly do you do with it if you were to scrap it and start from scratch? Clearly the tacky roadside carnival theme needs to go, but I still think the area should be themed to dinosaurs. The question is, how do you go about creating a unique dinosaur-themed land that fits in with the rest of AK? It can’t be just like Jurassic Park at IoA and none of Disney’s dinosaur based-IPs are very popular. What would you do if you were in charge of recreating this unpopular land?

I'd tie it in with SEA or LOA about some sort of mission to bring back dinosaurs from the past in a secret location, not necessarily being in the USA, but maybe in a lost valley or something. The carnival part of the land would be abandoned, countdown to extinction/dinosaur would receive some updates and storyline changes, primeval whirl would make way for either a boat ride about the ice age or the unbuilt excavator coaster. Besides that I feel like a trail featuring "live" dinosaurs, enclosed in this valley would really make it a full and DAK worthy themed area.

Oh yeah, if it were ever to get a revamp (which I unfortunately doubt is even on the radar at the moment), I’d change the name too.

Gravity Falls Retheme would have worked perfectly...
Chester & Hester's Store becomes the Mystery Shack Gift Shop

Dino Rama Becomes Mystery Fair
1000

And Dinosaur becomes a Gravity Falls Based Dino themed ride...

Chapek is terrible, maybe the worst executive at Disney, but the group that originally green lighted this is in the running for worst decision on a land yet.
