The DS's and I swear we want to do the crazy dash to Soarin' one morning then break off from the herd to sprint towards JII screaming, "Captain EOooooooooo!!!!!!" It'd just be funny. Wonder if anyone would follow. I bet we could do the same for the TSMM herd and break off towards One Man's Dream screaming, "Uncle Waaaaaaalt!!!!!!!"

:ROFLOL: That would be funny!

A solid E ticket up by Indy area and another family style ride in Pixar Place area would help a lot.

I see it as two new rides helping ease the crowds....because then people would be running towards Pixar/ Sunset Blvd/ and the new E ticket.

Myself, I still head to Sunset Blvd and almost exclusively stay in that area of the park. Tower of Terror/ RNRC/ Brown Derby/ Rosie's/ Great Movie Ride. Sure I venture elsewhere, but usually just to pass through and stroll.

Build a clone version of the ride in the building next to it?

Of course they could have done that for Soarin' but I don't see that happening either.

I guess I agree with those who say build another good family ride. Or just another good ride, period -- but I guess that's why the CMs thought Star Tours would alleviate some of it. I tell you what -- when I was there I went on Star Tours over and over and over again -- couldn't get enough. Perhaps it was the novelty of the upgraded version but it's certainly as fun as TSMM.

  • Do away with Fast Pass for the attraction all together.

    or

  • Change it over to a lottery system that you must enter 180 days away from your trip.

The problem with the studios is too many shows, not enough rides. Theres only so many times a person wants to see the same show, but theres no telling how many times a person will want to ride a great ride.

The studios wastes too much space on arenas, huge spaces that can accomodate atleast 1 or 2 rides in each of their plots. Even without removing the shows though, I'm sure disney could figure out a way to expand the park.

I cant believe they have the audacity to charge the same price for dhs as they do for the mk.

Dhs needs alot more rides, not just 1 or 2.. imo they need to get rid of indy, the backlot (its just not worth it anymore) lma, and the beauty and the beast shows and put some solid rides in their place.

Ive said it before and I'll say it again. The people wont ever come to a theme park in droves just because theres a new show, but add a new ride and your talking about a serious boost in attendance.

I do agree with some of this, but not all. Studios has to many shows but some of them are quite popular. Beauty and the Beast is a big crowd pleaser of the younger audience and LMA is a big hit with the boys (although I don't think the 5,000 seat arena is necessary). That being said I do think that Indy is outdated and could fit at least one or two new rides.

I'm a big fan of the backlot and think it's great but it is in need of some refurbishment. If they made it more interactive and/or put in set pieces that were more relatable to the younger audience I think it would be a great change. They do use the buildings along the backlot tour for uses other than the actual attraction so they'd never get rid of those completely.

Just my take on the situation. But I agree Studios needs something fresh and new.

Like many have said, it's time for some big changes and additions at Studios. Bring over a new Indy ride...big time E-ticket. Add the Monster's Inc Coaster. Add another family ride near Tower of Terror/ Rock N Roller Coaster area...maybe doze a chunk of the old Animation buildings???

Studios needs a good two or three attractions to get it back on track...

Don't get me started on Animal Kingdom though...that place needs about five or six more rides.

I'd follow ya to EO!

Soarin' is getting old, but I could watch EO over and over again (it's prelude is another story :lookaroun).

The reason you have such a rush for TSMM, besides the fact that it is a fun ride, is that there is very little to do at DHS compared to the other three parks. Now, I know some f you will take issue with that statement, but hear me out. Take RNRC and TOT, these are great attractions but do not appeal to all guests due to their high intensity. Next, take Beauty and the Beast stage show, Voyage of the Little Mermaid, Backstage Studio Tour (what is left), and American Idol, tehse are shows that once you have seen them once or ten times, you really do not need to see them again unless it's so you can feel as though you got value for your passes for DHS. TSMM and the new Star Tours is all that is drawing people to the park, for the most part. LMA is a once is enough attraction too.

Now, as a DIsney fanatic, it pains me to say this, but it should come as no surprise to those of you who are honest with yourselves, DHS is not worth the daily admission they charge unless it is your first visit. Disney needs to address DHS soon. That used to be one of my favorite parks, now I would rather spend the day in Mk, Epcot, or Ak, even. It is just too crowded, not enough to do, and whatthere is to do has not been updated or refurbished for years. TSMM, right now, is the only attraction worth visiting DHS. Oh, Star Tours, too.

Exactly, you need another family friendly ride...

Then it would become the mad dash to Monster's Inc. (etc.)!

That's one of the problems I've always had with the Monsters Inc. coaster, conceptually. I think the real reason TSMM is so packed all the time is that because except for TSMM, what rides are there that families with kids under 40" tall can even do??? (and let's face it folks - that's a huge portion of WDW's annual attendance, most of whom are going to visit DHS once on their trip).

I guess there's always the 11th trip on the ever-popular-with-kids Backlot Tour or Great Movie Ride.

While most posters here enjoy multiple rides on Star Tours, Tower of Terror and RnRC to the point that they can enjoy a full day at DHS, the fact of the matter is that with the exception of TSMM, families looking for rides don't have much to do there... and so TSMM has to carry the load for the entire park.

What DHS needs is a family-friendly (re: no height requirement), high capacity attraction... something like what the Little Mermaid omnimover has brought to DCA.

They could do an Incredibles ride similar to the Indy ride everybody wants or similar to the Spider-Man ride @ Universal. As a father of 3 kids (7 & under), I agree that there is very little at DHS for the kids. I'm sure the shows are great but, 2 year olds have a very short attention span. I think the Great Movie Ride needs a make over. Didn't take the kids on that one because I felt the Aliens scene would be waaaay too much for them. The could always do a Pixar/Disney based Great Movie Ride. How 'bout go a step further than the meet & greet and build a Pheneas & Ferb ride! Heck, have THEM build it. It'll be done in a day......hey, where's Perry? :ROFLOL:

This. And the fact that the few members of my family that are big enough to ride TofT, RnR, and Star Tours get motion sick. :hurl:

Honestly, with all the space Lights, Motors, Action stunt show takes up, get rid of it. Honestly even the first time I saw it it wasn't that good. It's a HUGE stadium, with a line that's just as big. I understand it goes with the "show" theme of DHS but honestly, how much do people enjoy cramming together is a some thousand capacity stadium in Orlando, Florida to be blasted with heat wave after head wave of explosion while watching cars and motorcycles go back and forth... Get rid of that stadium, and you you have plenty of room for a new ride area... Indy Coaster, Star Wars Coaster, Monster's Inc Coaster, turn that area into Cars land or soemthing of the sort... Expand on the Pixar idea. end of story. Kids LOVE Pixar. It's something for the whole family as well.

This might be a stupid question but I'll ask anyways-- If I'm going next week for only 3 days is it worth me trying to ride this? Since we're only there for 3 days, I know I'm not going to get to do nearly as much as I want to, but I figured for DHS the only things I really wanted to do was this and Star Tours, but I don't want to spend a whole night waiting in line, or hanging around for a fastpass when there isn't too much more in DHS I'd want to do on a 3 day trip. Is the ride worth such a wait? lol

3 days? wow... That's not a lot of time at all... I would say get there at opening, get a fastpass. Do your thing until the fastpass comes up. Even go to another park, come back in the afternoon if you get a well timed fastpass, and do everything at DHS and see Fantasmic at night. With such a short time span, you want to do everything you can.
