My 3 DS went on the childrens fishing trip out of the Boardwalk. They found it boring as they just fished close to the docks and there was not too much action. They thought it was cool they got freee refreshments (Guess they didnt know we paid for it in the total price) and they thought it was great that the captain used uncooked hot dogs as bait. Only bluegills were caught. They were not willing to bend the rules and let my one DS go when he was over the age. (The captain let him on the boat at the dock (He made the day magical).
Our family went on the family bass fishing trip from the Polynesian. Our great captain told us the earliest times are best since the fish are very active and the summer heat is bearable and also there is less wake and noise from all the boat traffic in the area. Bait is extra, is strictly catch and release, and although not asked for a generous tip is expected as they usually bait the hooks, take fish off hooks, pose for pictures etc. etc. It was a bit steep but definetely worth it. My kids still always talk about it and we took lots of picutres of Mom catching the most large mouth bass. You must schedule at least 24 hours in advance and there are no refunds. (I don't know about if weather conditions make it impossible, however.) Enjoy.
