Fish and Chips joint at Epcot question

I don't remember the cashiers being inside before, now they are inside where the food is prepared and they don't look really thrilled to be in that cramped and tight space. Was the outdoor cashier just a seasonal thing?

It seems to fluctuate with crowd levels. When there is enough demand to warrant extra staffing they will put the cashier outside. When there isn't enough business they don't have as many people working and they tend to do everything from in the counter area. I have seen both setups be used in the same day depending on the time.

This past July was the first time I had ever seen the cashier outside, and we have been there many times at various times of the year.

It's not one of my places. My DW and I ate there a few years ago and while it tasted good, it made us not feel quite so well. When we took a bite out of the fish we could pour the oil that it was fried in out, quite a stream as I recall. It could have been a bad day but it was quite a turn off.

Oh no! Definiately a bad day! It's never normally like that, should be crispy. Don't blame it on English food though! :ROFLOL:

I haven't enjoyed the fish & chips at Epcot, either. :(

I'm hoping to give the original a chance, though! I'm going to be visiting London next month!! :sohappy: (three weeks from yesterday, in fact!)

The opportunity came up at the last minute, and I decided I'd be a fool not to take it, even if I am going to WDW two weeks after that. I'll make sure to try the "real thing". ;)

Hope you enjoy your trip here! Bring an umbrella! If you see the Queen, tell her she still owes me a tenner! That's the last time I buy her a pint!

It is a pretty authentic recreation of good UK style fish, the chips are pretty much out of the freezer bag, and can be skipped, IMO
