firsts for Disney trivia

This has half to do with WDW, but all with Disney. DL has something that was a first ever in the world ( actually the one I'm talking about has 2 ), and WDW also has something that was the first ever as well. Question, what are they??? Good luck.

Anybody else have something to add?

Not quite sure what you mean but didn't WDW have the first 911 system or something like that?

If your talking about attractions then I have no idea.

EDIT: posted at the same time as you so you can ignore the 911 thing. I have no idea.

Well in WDW, The Mickey Mouse Revue, Country Bear Jamboree, The Hall of Presidents were all originals.

DL had many firsts, as it was the 1st Disney park.

WDW's space mountain was the first space mountain.

DL's Matterhorn was the first coaster to feature tubular steel construction.

Nope it's a small world was. Wow this is fun?!?!?
Correct. Arrow (who also designed Matterhorn's tubular steel design) designed IasW's flume ride system. Then they modified it for PotC.

By the way, for coaster purists... Matterhorn is often incorrectly listed as being the first steel coaster. Not so. It was, however, the first TUBULAR steel coaster.. Other "flat" steel coasters came decades upon decades before.

As for Matterhorn's other "first," was it the first "indoor" coaster (at least partially)?

Or was it a "first" because of Arrow's brake/boost system (now evolved into trim brakes)?

Or a first because of using water to slow it down? (EDIT: obviosuly know the answer now. Silly duplicate posting with the OP)

Is that enough guesses? :D

Shouldn't this really be in Trivia and not General Discussion?

Gotta love an opened ended question like this.
