One person's all out is another person's budget trip. My best advice is get quite a few quotes and see what's best for you! Check allears.net(they have menus and prices for all the restaurants) to figure your dining budget to see if the dining plans would work for you. Only you can decide what you can afford and what's worth spending money on! My one other piece of advice is to do the longest trip possible! Good luck and happy planning!

Oh man, I have no idea what it cost when I went with my high school. I went once when I was 6, but we stayed with family and only went to MK and Epcot one day each.

My first "adult" trip was in 2007 with my boyfriend and our best friend. We stayed at All Star Movies for 7 nights, and got 5 day tickets with free park hoppers and water parks & more added. We also got the basic dining plan, which was amazing back then -- appetizers and gratuity were included. We also saw La Nouba, and went to Universal one day.

Let's see. Disney was $2105.16, our flights were $728.10... it doesn't look like I saved the email confirmation for La Nouba or Universal, but I bought them through Maple Leaf Tickets so they were slightly discounted. Just using these figures, it would have been $944.42 each, plus Cirque and Universal.

I don't know about cost per person but, our first trip as a family to Disney World cost about $2,500 staying at POP Century for 7 nights (deal at that time was buy 4 nights get 3 free).
That buy 4 get 3 promo was amazing!! I booked it early and also got a $200 gift card at check in. I gave it to my nephew for his souvenirs.

Thanks everyone for your responses. My heart goes out to all the overseas visitors for the cost just to get to MCO . I am definitely not ever again at the $500 airfare I paid for three people.
How did you manage that? I can't get anything but 880$ for 4 cheapest flight from DC.:(

2007 1st trip stayed w/ my Mom & Dad, hubby , and 2 3 year old boys- stayed @ ASM suite - value resort. We stayed 5 nights 6 days w/ 4 day tickets plus "free dining" I believe in December ( Christmas). This was our first time since 2000, so we spent quite a bit on souvenirs: at least 500$ The gas was about 300$ w/ a rent a van about $800? The cost was about $3,400. So in total approx. $5,000! Per Person, not sure? I guess around 800$ pp.?

Keep Moving Forward
Our first trip was 2000, 2 Adults We spent $1,800. We had 7 day PH with the water parks and more and stayed at the All Star Music that price included our food/souvenir budget at WDW but not travel costs.

This year we are looking at $3,100 for 2 adults, one child and one toddler, 6 nights at AOA - Little Mermaid, 5 day tickets (no hoppers or extras) and the DXDP. That does not include travel, souvenirs or other extras like tickets to the Halloween Party. I'm hoping for the 30% off at Port Orleans Riverside to show up again - it would be a couple hundred cheaper to upgrade with the discount then stay at AOA with no discount.

On your first WDW trip what was your average cost PP for your trip and how long did you go for?

if I recall it was either 1976 or 1977 when I was 6. Back then the economy was different. I know it was a lot of money back then. Not too sure, but I think my parents had a budget of $400 total for a family of four, and than included staying off property, driving 1,000 miles one way, the old book of A-E park tickets, and food. I think we spent a week total driving and spent 3 days I think at the Magic Kingdom and the Disney Marketplace.

My how times and prices have changed.
