Seven days to departure! Heading straight to DLRP from CDG. Any helpful hints on which attractions to do first; what's hot, what's not so hot, what to be sure not to miss, etc? We will be staying at Newport Bay for three nights, so we should have plenty of time.

I've never been, so unfortunately, I cannot give you official advice. Although, I can tell you to have a great, magical time. Ride and experience everything. I hope to one day visit DLRP also! Enjoy.

Three\Four days should be plenty for both parks, although we are heading into summer season. Depending on your flights I suppose depends how much time you will have to spend in the parks. I would use your two full days for Disneyland Park and your two part days for the Studios.

All the classic attractions in Paris are different to their American counter parts. The whole of Disneyland Park was built on a grander scale. Be sure to try out the new Space Mountain Mission 2.

Be sure to post a trip report on your return. If possible, can you get some construction pictures of ToT area, Toon Studios and Buzz and some pictures of the New Port Bay. I stayed there a few years ago and would like to see some of the other rooms – to see if they were any different.

We`re going again in 3 weeks for our 2nd visit. You will have a ball! We`re also at the Newport (again) - it is big, but very, very nice. Assuming you know the American parks, Disneyland Parc (Magic Kingdom) is HUGE. Wear comfy shoes! Do not miss Phantom Manor, Big Thundermountain, PotC, IASW or Space Mountain. All these attractions have the EuroDisney philosiphy behind them - take the original, strip it down to basics, then spare no expense in making it the best version anywhere. Sound, lighting, music, sets, effects, length, AA`s - all superb. Indy is good (especially now it is forwards again) and is awesome at night. The Fantasyland dark rides are `cute` - reccommended. And Star Tours is as good as anywhere else. HISTA has stereo headphones for English audio.

At the Studios don`t miss Moteurs Action, Rock n Rollercoaster (totally new theme) or Cinemagique. Animagique is great, as is Armageddon. The Backlot Tour, Animation and TV tours are good once. And if is running, the Disney Cinema Parade is very well done (the music is some of the best from any parade IMHO)

Save some time to look around the shops too - even if just browsing, the attention to detail everywhere is breathtaking. You could spend a morning just looking around Main Street!

Space Mountain will probably have the longest lines (Mission:2) so a fastpass may be needed. BTM and Indy arn`t normally to bad early on, but tend to get popular later. PotC and PM are fast loaders, but again the sooner the better. Oh - Peter Pan`s Flight is unbelievably popular (try not to miss it!)

RnRc and Armageddon are popular but not too bad, I think fastpasses have been suspended at the studios this season. MASS fills up well, and may only be running 2 or 3 shows a day so aim early to avoid dissapointment.

And it can get very hot - not quite like Floridas humidity, but hot. Sunscreen and water are in order. Plus the storms can match Orlando in the afternoon.

Oh - from the Newport, it`s about a 15 minute pleasent walk door to door, or you can take the free shuttle - but unless its wet we tend to enjoy the walk. And package delivery to the hotel is like at WDW too.

Feel free to PM me with any specifics you may have.

Thank you one and all for excellent information. I neglected to mention that my wife will refuse to go on anything more daring than Phantom Mansion, so it looks like I will be doing a bunch of stuff solo :) She won't even do Test Track at WDW. Wimp. But she's always been a (WDW) HISTA fan. I am starting to get excited!

Really looking forward to DLRP - and then on to Paris for 6 days (AND ALL WITHOUT THE KIDS). What mean, rotten parents :)

Thanks again!!!
