Hello everyone. I'm a long time fan of this forum but have never posted a thread, so we will see how this goes.

I have recently booked my first trip to Disneyland and I could not be more excited! It has been a dream of mine to visit ever since I was a kid and now, it is finally coming true. I will be there May 2-6 and I need tips on what I should do! I've been to Walt Disney World plenty of times but from what I understand, this is going to be quite a different experience. Any tips or advice you guys have would be greatly appreciated!

I always recommend starting the day at park opening at whichever park is not offering early morning entry for that day. The schedule for early entry at the parks is here:

Unless of course you are staying on property and get early entry everyday with your stay.

If not, and you only have one early entry day with your multi-day ticket, then I'd definitely use the early entry day, but every other day of the trip, start the day at the park not offering early entry and be there about ten minutes before the park is to open. You'll be amazed how amazing the parks are at that time of the day. You can usually get 2-3 hours in with very minimal wait times. It's the best part of the day!

Great tips! Hopefully crowds will be minimal when I am there considering it will be mid-week.

We were there in February and a lot of attractions were closed because of the building of Star Wars Land. You may want to check. I think at least 7 attractions were closed in the Magic Kingdom which made the park very crowded. Also the line to get your bags checked to get into the area between CA and MK was extra long. I had never seen anything like it at WDW.
