First Trip in 3 Years...Several Questions..

Hey Everyone -

I am finally headed back down the last week of January. Needless to say, the countdown has already begun! I have been to Disney several times, but my girlfriend hasn't. I was just wondering if the following attractions are going to be open, and if they have changed much since I was last there:

  • Carousel of Progress
  • Universe of Energy
  • American Adventure
  • Canada 360 Film

I am hoping they are still open and remainded somewhat unchanged. If anyone knows, that'd be great! Finally - I am also considering staying at the Pop Century - it looks as if it has received many great reviews - however, do you think it'll be a good time if it's just the two of us?

    Many thanks!! :sohappy:

All of those haven't changed much on the past 3 years and I believe they are all still open. Also the last week of January shouldn't pose too much of a threat of high attendance. Just watch out for locals on the weekends. I stayed at Pop the last time I was there and it was great!

I am pretty sure that all of the attractions will be open, however there is always a Maybe with COP. It is open at times and closed at others. And nothing has changed on them as far as I know.

Oh and POP, you will love it. The value resorts are excellent options for going to Disney. You really feel like you are staying in a nice hotel. The only problem with POP are the kids sometimes.

POP is GREAT!

The rooms are small but WHO cares? Get in the park, not your room. I think they have rooms with a king bed that are in the "preferred" (non-standard) area. These rooms are $5-10/day more, but I think it is worth it because if there are king-beds, that means there will be fewer KIDS running up and down the hallways (I assume). But those rooms are a little closer to the main building and thus, the bus stop! :)

That's the only other downside is there are a LOT of kids and thin doors to the kids running and shouting.

The theming is GREAT and the memory boxes in the main hall are so cute to bring back memories from childhood! :)
